I mean, I can do it rather easily, because that happens to be where I habitually swipe the screen for notifications. But others tend to swipe from their own spots, so not necessarily obvious

I did notice that if I swipe too fast quickly, the dynamic island gets bigger and says slow down fool.

Things are running swimmingly here on a humble-but-mighty third-generation iPhone SE. No real issues of which to speak, and it’s anecdotal but battery life seems better than on beta 2. We’ll see throughout the day as I’m out and about

I updated my 15 Pro Max to 17.1 Beta 3 and now the screen doesn't respond to touch. I'm stuck on the lock screen. Can't put in my passcode, swipe up, or anything. The phone isn't frozen tho, I can still raise to wake and use the action button to put it in and out of silent mode.

I plugged the phone into my mac and it says it's stuck in DFU mode. What????

It's not letting me restore lol. "The iPhone “iPhone” could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (1669)."

Update for if anyone else runs into this problem: I had to update my computer to the latest Sonoma beta (14.1 Beta 23B5067a) to get the phone to restore. It worked, fresh device, touch screen is working again. So nuts! Hopefully it stays working once i restore my icloud backup.

I think that’s the relevant factor. I never use my phone without a case except when I first get a new one. Since swiping down through the DI is haphazard for me I always swipe down through the time display which always works, case or no case.

Nah I never use a case. 15 pro max is the factor

This is a really smooth beta for me. The keyboard quitting apps bug has gone and faceID hasn’t failed once.

I’m using a 15PM as well but haven’t seen a change in behavior from my past phones, swiped down over the time display on them as well but because it never worked reliably from any other area. Still doesn’t, at least with a case on.

Seems that they have removed the lock screen alarm widget from adding the sleep schedule alarm totally. Only thing it shows now are added alarms no matter what sequence, reboot etc. It was a nice run

Music.app Artist sort got horked. Bands with The in their name are now sorted under T, unlike prior releases where it ignored the “The”.

Not for me, it works on Apple’s playlists at least

Noticed that the Watch unlocks a lot faster with the iPhone with both on the latest beta releases. No longer says unlocking Apple Watch, just instantly goes to unlocked.

Since Beta 3 I have not been able to add Reminder widgets, well they add to the screen but are blurred out and just link to the app.

Anyone else have same problem?

This happens only on my 15 pro max my iPad is working ok.

try offloading it and reinstall, might clear that up

I suppose this new dialog box has more to do with USB-C iPhone than anything else. Because I’ve been plugging my iPad USB-C to audio adapter for awhile and I’m just now seeing this.

Anyone else having Carplay issues when making phone callls?

When my 15PM is connected to Carplay and i make a phone call a selection box pops up by the speaker icon where I must choose Carplay output for the phone call to work. Output selection used to be automatic when connected to Carplay and making phone calls. Now i have to choose between Carplay, speaker and phone.

This is the first beta I have used of the 17.1 beta. Since updating I notice my phone is really warm in the morning after its been sitting on my wireless charger at night. This didnt happen with the 17.0.2 or .3 release

My 14 Pro StandBy mode is working - until the phone reboots during the night (2-3 times per week).
