They might have platform-specific bugfixes for the 15 models that could have broken stuff on any non-15 model (or may not have been sufficiently validated for other generations within the release timeline).

The “Turn Display Off” - Never setting is a great addition to Standby but just noticed that when you do set it to Never “Night Mode” is automatically turned on and can’t be turned off. Disappointing IMO as I’m not a fan of the red tint display color. Would have preferred the ability to just keep the colors but reduce the brightness based on ambient light.
Has anyone had issue with springboard crashes while setting wallpapers in the lock screen? Or may just be loading. When setting wallpapers in the lockscreen on my 14 Pro Max, it often goes to a black screen with the little spinning wheel in the center for about 3 seconds, then opens to the lockscreen. It usually happens when I tap the Done button.
So I tapped on my playlist, tapped edit, but i dont see the options for updated cover art? Just take photo, choose photo or choose file?

The iMessage search is working for me on my 15 PM. I can see photos, links, and attachments in the iMessage gallery

For third party apps? If so it works as intended. The ability to change the sound an app notification uses is only given to app developers, not directly to the users.
Was holding out, but decided to go all in after running 17.0.3 for a while on a spare 2020 SE I have (which has been showing AMAZING battery life I might add). The success reports on here also helped me make the decision.

not for me, saw it again today after updating to public version.
It has been working fine for me this whole time -- remember, I was on 16.5 before bringing my 11 Pro up to 17.1, which I just did today. I did not try my 2020 SE on 17.0.3 in my car, since it's not my daily driver phone, just a spare I have. But yes, Carplay was fine on 16.5, and is still fine for me on 17.1.
I did see the squared notifications bug for the first time on the revised RC of 17.1

Has anyone noticed any odd responses from Siri in 17.1? Yesterday afternoon whilst I was cooking, I had some messages come in, and I asked Siri to read new messages and instead of reading them she kept asking, "What would you like to say?" In another instance, when I received a new message and asked her to read it, she'd start, then ask, "Would you like to hear more messages?", and if I replied with, "Yes", she'd ask, "What do you want to say?" I ended up having to manually close the app to get out of the loop.
