But they don't. A simple "this is probably a box which requires an email address as it has the text 'email' right above it" is probably faster to implement than waiting for every web developer to define their inputs correctly.

Well, unless it's Siri, in which case ...
That seems extremely over-engineered for something any junior developer should know to do properly. Waste of resources.

Also, isn't this thread supposed to be for actual iOS 17 features?

This small message appeared on my iPhone with iOS 16, but signed into developer‘s Apple ID. Is this something new? I have never seen that before. (Beta updates are turned off)

Having a dev account will let you go on either 16’s betas or 17’s betas.

Though only should appear if beta update is on. Are you on a beta for 16.6?

Well I have to say sadly…Im really disappointed in Apple. The last few years were pretty boring regarding Hardware and Software Releases. I mean…Hardware is of course top notch when we look at the Processor, but we are already in the phase where it simply does not matter if the next iPhone Chip is twice as fast.
You simply dont use that power. Software was always the strong side of the package, but its just boring, in my everyday use I don’t even notice if I run iOS 17…16 or something else.

In the past I was always installing the beta releases because I couldn’t wait for the awesome new functions…but now?

Well yeah…
I definitely understand what you’re saying, but I think it’s difficult/impractical to release big hero upgrades annually. For me, I’m excited by the small enhancements to the existing apps I use the most. All of those added together add up to something huge for me. As an optimist, I’m hoping for improved stability and reliability but that’s just a hope. As @TheYayAreaLiving 🎗️ posted, the live Lock Screen is coming back which makes me very happy. It’s not a major feature but I’ll enjoy it many times throughout the day.

I'm new to iOS beta. Can someone just confirm - upgrading from iOS 17 Beta to iOS 17 official release can be done OTA naturally, without having to backup/restore/iTunes?

If you stay on the beta path, after the iPhone introduction keynote in mid-September, you’ll get the Release Candidate. If all goes as designed, that Release Candidate will be exactly the same build of software as what is released to the public a few days before the new iPhones start arriving at people’s homes and in stores. If this happens as planned, you will need to do absolutely nothing to get on the official public release because you will already be on it.
