I hardly ever get voicemails, so haven't really looked into the whole live voicemail thing. But I don't even have the option in Settings, is it currently a regional thing? (I'm in the Netherlands)

So my battery health went from 100 to 97 on my 14 pro max after going from beta 2 to beta 3, should I be worried?

Running smooth on my 14PM. The only noticeable bug I have (I'm sure there's others) is that my Apple ID picture in the top banner as you go into setting - the one with Your name, and underneath it says 'Apple ID, iCloud, Media & Purchases, is just a grey circle with my initials instead of my Apple ID picture. Annoying but not the end of the world. I've tried rebooting, signing in and out, but still no joy!

Any ideas?

Bug: Timer app feature defaults to Radar sound every time, more on control center button, so if you want another sound or to stop music, every time you have to choose the action/ sound or go in app and choose a past timer, if there’s no past timer it won’t save the sound/action you choose. In previous iOS it will work every time even in control center. (I use it every day to stop music playing at night, and I think since b2 it’s broken)

When you roll over at 4 am and standby mode comes on in a pitch black room…but not in red like it should.

You shouldn‘t because your battery health is probably nowhere near 100% nowadays anyways. Batteries are organic material that decay with continued use, it‘s perfectly normal that battery health gets worse as time goes on. The battery health percentage does not calibrate in realtime, it rarely recalibrates itself (more often during indexing / beta season) so it‘s expected that your battery health percentage drops a lot when running betas.

I have a weird issue, and I'm not sure if it's connected with iOS 17 or not.

I am using Shared Library with my girlfriend and have it set up to automatically save to the Shared Library if we're in close proximity. I also had the option in the camera to switch this to personal if I wanted.

However, since a few days I do not have any indicator to switch to which library I want to save my photos in my camera app. I can still move them to my Shared Library in the Photos app, but no chance in the camera app.

I've tried hard rebooting, turned on/off the feature but no dice.

I am now thinking that I recently did a "reset all settings" on Beta 1, but other than that I didn't change any settings.

Anybody else having this issue (or that had something similar before)? Any help appreciated

It is a boring subject though, hence why there’s a dedicated forum for it so this one doesn’t get bogged down in it.

It’s a beta. Battery will be all over the place. You can’t compare it to anything because the software isn’t finished. 🤷🏽
Ideally, the moderators should just move battery posts. The fact is, folks don't search forums before posting nor care where they post what

I've had great success with beta 3 in general, however, I still have a syncing problem with SMS between my Mac (b1 and b2 on Mac, b1 and b2 and b3 on iOS..)

I did bring back my Mac to Ventura, hoping it would solve it.. nope. So it's either an iOS b1,2,3 issue or changes in how the backend servers at Apple work in this area

Other than that, syncing Messages (texts) to my Tesla wouldn't kick in until I cycled the power of the iPhone. Printer functionality seems a bit degraded: one has to select the correct printer and paper-size constantly, iOS remembered last settings. That wraps up my main issues for now! I suspect the next release will be dev b4 and public beta 1, it's not too shabby

Hopefully it’s just a beta thing - it would be a real shame to lose 3% just because of an update.

since B3 was installed I keep getting a "Allow "Home" to use your location?" popup, especially for HomeKit. Sometimes HK thinks im not home and I have to reboot to get this popup again and it will work for awhile before popping up again. Is anyone else having this issue?

Try changing your contact card picture (disable the sharing first if you don’t want anyone to see it).

So, after they fixed Clock widget 3 from being transparent to a white background (which is a shame as I liked the transparent background), it’s broken in a different way now…..

Sort of concerning.
Ran across this in Twitter.

”The "Advanced Tracking and Fingerprinting Protection" introduced in Safari in iOS 17 leaks DNS queries to Apple DNS server. Users who rely on custom DNS to block malware domains will be unprotected. We reported this bug to Apple, but Apple says it is not an issue.”

The transparency was apparently a bug.
Bugger!
Hope not. Transparent widgets are in Sonoma and they feel very natural and not in the way. I think it would be a design step back if they would not make them for iOS 17 as well

Don’t know if this is a weather app bug or Apple weather data problem, but the weather app says it’s 80 degrees here when other weather apps say it’s around 65 degrees. Being outside, I can definitely say it’s closer to 65 than 80.
