Throwing my name in the hat for for those with Messages syncing issues. I’ll pull up Messages on my watch and there’ll be an unread count even though my iPad/iPhone show clear. Usually turns out to be 2FA messages and the like.

Question for my HomeKitters:

I’m not having any option for any kind of activity history within HomeKit. I have an August lock and a Meross garage door opener (set up directly through HomeKit), but neither offer any kind of history. I’ve seen others with the same devices who do have activity history available in HomeKit, however.

Is it possible that HomeKit requires either a hub on 17 or all users of the household to be on 17 for activity history? My phone and iPad are on 17, but all HomePods and Apple TVs are on 16, and the other member of the household has all their devices on 16.

For reference, I straight up have no options to even enable Activity History for those devices on my iPhone nor my iPad. Only activity notifications.

I am in the same boat. There’s a whole thread over on Reddit devoted to this. From what I can gather over there, it does not seem to matter if the home hub (Apple Tv or HomePod) is on the beta or not. It may be some sort of A/B testing there does not seem to be any rhyme or reason to who has this logging feature and who does not.

Yes, same. I may try signing out of everything and doing the procedure Ram mentions above.

How’d it work out?

Interesting. So, you manually deleted messages on your watch?

For me I was lucky I didn’t need to do the watch manually. In my case I also had iPad and Mac that was out of sync. I’d delete on one device and the others didn’t update. On the watch it would work randomly but then I also had another issue: read msg on one device and the status didn’t update on the others.

I remember I had to sign out of everything. There was a post on the issue but I minus some steps since they was a bit extra or didn’t make sense.

After signing out usually the watch follows suit and deleted them too if it doesn’t I’d do a reset on the watch after signing out of iCloud on the iPhone then restore from the backup ONCE all the other devices are confirmed fixed.

Also if you don’t yet make sure you have text forwarding on settings of the iPhone so it can pass along sms too if you need that otherwise optional. I also noticed I had more consistency with messages in iCloud on as well.

I’d turn it back on after signing back in to iCloud on the iPhone then turn it on with the other devices as well like an iPad or Mac. Plug your charger it and let it sit a few mins on WiFi.

If your first round of following the steps didn’t work try them again but turn this off first if it’s on already then follow the rest.

Just to clarify, you’re able to delete messages on your watch and they sync properly to other devices? In my experience, not to mention others, deleting on other devices syncs to the watch, but not the other way around.

Only bug I've had so far is in messages where the text box is not showing. I need to back out and open the keyboard again for it to show. Everything else seems to be working perfectly.

Hi,

I'm having issues with phone calls. When I call some numbers, the iphone gives a call error after some seconds and doesn't dial. Does somebody have the same issue?

An easier way to fix that is simply to hit the return key while typing. The carriage return will cause the text box to show up. Then you can hit the backspace key to get back to the first line.

My bedtime alarm has completely failed to sound on two occasions now, once yesterday and once today. I set it every night like usual but I wake up past the alarm time. Lock Screen says “No alarm” and after unlocking the phone, the alarm shows up at the dynamic island with options to snooze or stop. No ringing at that time either. Ringer/alert slider is set to >50% and change with buttons is off.

Yep, I had the same thing happen. Scary bug.

Just tested it. Didn’t work. Just the other way around. That part seems like a bug itself. Everything else works tho.

I am not able to set up my Microsoft teams account after iOS 7 upgrade, and and ask me to downgrade to iOS 16, as this version is not compliant with organization security policies. I don’t know what to do because I need teams have to be set up for my office use.

Microsoft Teams might not support iOS 7, that's a very old operating system 😁

Oh but what a great release iOS 7 was! The move from Craig to modernity! Those were the days.. I wonder if we'll have a striking design change like that again? =)
iOS 7 was what made me jump on the beta train. I just simply couldn’t wait! Loved those days!

The clock widget broke down and has not been functioning properly! It's frozen!

A lot of Apple’s stock widgets are currently messed up in Beta 3, and will freeze or randomly not load data.

I’ve found if a reboot doesn’t fix it, deleting the widget and adding it again refreshes it.

Do you have MDM on your device?
I have Teams (corporate) and it is working fine as the MDM I am running allows it.

Working fine here with my work account.

It could be your company may have security policy set to block any version of iOS that's not a current valid version (so older than a certain version and not allowing pre-release versions).

Apologies if this is buried in here, I didn't read every page. I am not getting a tone after my voicemail greeting. Either on the system default "leave a message after the tone" where there is nothing but silence after it and no tone. Same for custom greeting. No "tone" to prompt the caller to begin the message. Am I alone?

On a side note, is there anyway to get the Live Voicemail to transcribe on the lock screen? Seems I have to swipe up when locked to unlock and then tap on the island.

Then you need to downgrade back to iOS 16. Many apps will not work with iOS 17 yet and in some cases the developers cannot update them until Xcode is updated. There is another thread in this forum listing apps that are not yet working.
