Go into languages and add a second language. It will ask you if you want to make it primary, you don’t have to. Once it is added, then slide to delete that language you added (or keep it if you like). Then try to use the music app and music settings.

My Apple Music, Music Settings, and Apple TV apps were freezing and doing nothing and I found this solution on Reddit. As crazy as it sounds it worked. Like I said earlier in this thread, I wish I would have been smart enough to find and try this before doing a restore, would have saved me a few hours.
I'm back on 16.6, but I may give it a try - thank you!
Edit - It worked! Thank you so much!!
… until I connected to CarPlay - the Music app stopped working.
Removing the added language brought the Music app back, but right now I'd rather have CarPlay than iOS 17.

App Library

Noticed the Recently Added folder is not.
It is showing apps as Recent that have been installed since I bought it. 3 of the 8 are "newest" and maybe "X" because of the name change. The rest existed back when I had my 11 or earlier.
Perhaps doing an ipsw install for beta 6 somehow mucked it?

I jumped on the beta train at B5... no CarPlay issues to report at any point... by way of full disclosure, I don't use Apple Maps, so issues with that app were not considered by me.
Interesting. I’m in a ‘22 Ford Bronco FWIW with the stock Ford Sync radio so could have something specific to do with that combo for me. It definitely had something to do with iOS as it didn’t work at all on Beta 6 and now is perfect on 7 immediately after update. I don’t use Apple Maps either.. google all the way

Interesting, indeed. I'm in a 2021 Ford Ranger with stock SYNC3 radio... using a generic 3rd party wireless CarPlay adapter (but tested with both the stock wired CarPlay and the wireless dongle)... using Waze as my map software of choice.

BTW, I love the Bronco... awesome looking vehicle.

Big Issue in iOS 17 Beta 7 Developer's Release:

My Mail app no longer only shows VIP mail in the VIP view. VIP now seems to show everything.

That's a huge problem for me, considering how reliant I am on the VIP view of my email.

I confirmed that this is an iOS issue because VIP mail still works on iCloud.com .

Maybe deleting your account, hard reboot, and re-adding might fix it?
If that fails perhaps delete your mail account(s) then delete the app, hard reboot, reinstall the app, and re-add accounts?

Can I install beta 7 IPSW in lieu of OTA?

Yes of course as long as you know how to.

You might have to do the trick with the mobile device.pkg from XCode as Sir Pearsey said in one of his message in the thread.

Can anyone report on how the Mullvad VPN app (or other VPN app maybe) is performing for them?

It's indicating that it's connected and even reports the proper IP, but the speed test performance is still full throttle as if there is no VPN connected. With VPN connected I'm accustomed to a significant overhead hit on a 1GB symmetrical connection, and that currently isn't happening.

Mullvad is working properly for me.
iPhone 13PM on iOS 17DB7.

View attachment 2249774The solutions are strange sometimes. I was suffering stuttering quite often on my 13 Pro Max. Changing the Wallpaper didn't help me much. Until after trying several things, I turned off "search" (look at the attached photo) and I had no more stuttering. I turned it on and had them again, so I keep it off. In case anyone still has this problem.

Strange indeed but good find 👍

Looks like the copyright info at the bottom of albums in my Apple Music library has disappeared. Weird.

Copyright info is still there on the desktop Apple Music app, but looks like the majority of albums in my library are missing it now.

In Safari is the box to the right of the “40 tabs” supposed to be blank? Its function is the same as the + sign bottom left so seems pointless and unfinished?

I could load driving directions on my phone but when I plug into the car, CarPlay said this route was unavailable using CarPlay which I'd never seen before. Input the same directions today on PB 5 and no issue, loaded straight away. Strange issues! all resolved now though.
Good idea. I was always loading directions directly from ACP, so I'll add this method to the testings and will load the directions on the iPhone first from time to time to see if it works. 👍
