Do we expect an iOS 17.0.3 in the coming week or so? It seems like there are a lot of bugs being discovered now that iOS 17 and the new iPhones are out in the wild. It’s also a little strange that they currently have their devices on different firmwares - 17.0.2 for the iPhone 15s and 17.0.1 for all others.
A 17.0.3 could patch out some remaining bugs and bring back all currently supported devices to the same version number.
I dunno, I think not being able to hear notifications is a pretty egregious bug that’s going to affect a lot of people’s workflow, be it professional or personal. I really hope to see something before the end of another beta cycle as long as a typical .1 release. My inclination is“no”. 17.1 will be here in a few weeks. They’re not going to issue bug fix releases right and left, they’ll accumulate them and release in 17.1.
The only caveat to that would be if there’s another zero day bug discovered.
Dunno if it’s just me my 15pm doesn’t show badges on the App Store if updates are available. I can pull down to refresh and it will show number of updates but if I come out of the app no badges with how manyOccasional stuttering on 15 pro. That needs sorting.
Is that a bug or just an imperfect decision?I think not being able to hear notifications is a pretty egregious bug
My opinion is bug. Pretty much every one of the new alerts is too low to hear unless it’s sitting right next to you. Can’t hear it in my pocket or across a room while I can hear the default Note from the other side of the house. Is that a bug or just an imperfect decision?
You make the usual process of catching all bugs before a release point in time funny. Imperfect decision if you missed some bugs.Is that a bug or just an imperfect decision?

Hope we get a quick fix for the lag on the 15 pro. Took Apple ages to sort a similar issue on 14.
No lag on my 15PM
Thank you will give it a tryTurn automatic updates off in settings. Then it will.
Oh you did, did you.
Went and saw them today. Love the frosted glass on the 15’s. Actually really loved the finish on those handsets. The white looked so cool. Not sure about the titanium, especially on the black. It was covered in finger prints. Couldn’t notice much speed difference from a 14 Pro.
Coming up from a 13 Pro would have been a nice jump.
17.1 beta 1 Tuesday.
I don’t see how that’s possible (the last point); mine is covered in them. Maybe not to the degree of the SS, but they are definitely covered in them. My OCD microfiber buffing will not be retired this year, it seems…Oh yeah!
It is faster than 14PM in little things, like app loading.
I have the natural titanium and nary a fingerprint to be seen.

Just a friendly reminder if you prefer to wait on the latest iOS 16 update until iOS 17 gets more polished, iOS 16.6.1 IPSW is still being signed. I don’t think it will for much longer tho, maybe 7 or 8 more hours…
I expect the 15s can handle iOS 17 easily, otherwise…No good for those with 15s
They cant, usual new phone bugs. Just like the 14 had camera issues. Sure apple will sort soon enough.I expect the 15s can handle iOS 17 easily, otherwise…
