Do we expect an iOS 17.0.3 in the coming week or so? It seems like there are a lot of bugs being discovered now that iOS 17 and the new iPhones are out in the wild. It’s also a little strange that they currently have their devices on different firmwares - 17.0.2 for the iPhone 15s and 17.0.1 for all others.
A 17.0.3 could patch out some remaining bugs and bring back all currently supported devices to the same version number.

My inclination is“no”. 17.1 will be here in a few weeks. They’re not going to issue bug fix releases right and left, they’ll accumulate them and release in 17.1.

The only caveat to that would be if there’s another zero day bug discovered.

I dunno, I think not being able to hear notifications is a pretty egregious bug that’s going to affect a lot of people’s workflow, be it professional or personal. I really hope to see something before the end of another beta cycle as long as a typical .1 release.

Is that a bug or just an imperfect decision?
My opinion is bug. Pretty much every one of the new alerts is too low to hear unless it’s sitting right next to you. Can’t hear it in my pocket or across a room while I can hear the default Note from the other side of the house.

I mentioned it in the .0.1 thread but I believe this is a bug and will be fixed before long.

Hope we get a quick fix for the lag on the 15 pro. Took Apple ages to sort a similar issue on 14.

The overall speed of my 15 Pro is fine and animations looking even a bit faster as with the 13 pro.
Main difference is while typing on the standard keyboard, here I have some huge lag on the new phone. This works much more fluid on the 13 pro.

No lag on my 15PM

Oh you did, did you.

Went and saw them today. Love the frosted glass on the 15’s. Actually really loved the finish on those handsets. The white looked so cool. Not sure about the titanium, especially on the black. It was covered in finger prints. Couldn’t notice much speed difference from a 14 Pro.

Coming up from a 13 Pro would have been a nice jump.

Oh yeah!

It is faster than 14PM in little things, like app loading.

I have the natural titanium and nary a fingerprint to be seen.

I don’t see how that’s possible (the last point); mine is covered in them. Maybe not to the degree of the SS, but they are definitely covered in them. My OCD microfiber buffing will not be retired this year, it seems…

A couple of smudges near the volume buttons but that’s it. Had it outside a case most of the day too

Just a friendly reminder if you prefer to wait on the latest iOS 16 update until iOS 17 gets more polished, iOS 16.6.1 IPSW is still being signed. I don’t think it will for much longer tho, maybe 7 or 8 more hours…

No good for those with 15s
