I’ve been pestering Bing Chat about the likelihood of different features being implemented in iOS 17 on a scale from 1 to 10, lol! 😂🤣.
Well...the guys on the patent review committee at BB (including Lazaridis) didn't have vision...not like that eventually caught up with us or anything.Just ahead of your time! Hardware had to catch up.
How about a long or “deep” press on the Settings app icon from the home screen and then be presented with a customizable set of 3-4 options to choose from- boom. Control Center appears from wherever after selecting it.
…I wish it performed better when plugged in to my car.
Elaborate please….
Yes. Yes it is.
There’s no way they would do something like this on the iPhone.
Did you make it…or download it from somewhere else??
I just don't want everything to look the same. Currently when I look at iOS 16.6 beta 2, the GUI with icons is very attractive. Does iOS 17 need a more 3D look or does it need a lot of GUI interface more so? The degree of how it doesn't work in landscape orientation makes one wonder where Apple is headed with IOS 17? Whats the point of larger iPhones then? Not for me. Flat iOS symbols made sort of real life just look strange
What do you mean by “GUI with icons”? The app icons are mostly visible on the Home Screen, which has extremely minimal GUI, since the app icons ARE the GUI in this case. I guess I’m not sure I’m properly understanding what you’re talking about with the GUI and App icon combo, unless maybe you’re saying you like the way they complement each other aesthetically? I really like the look of iOS, and I wouldn’t really change anything about it, but I do think it would benefit from the neumorphic app icons from macOS. If they add better app icon customization, I will definitely be switching to those icons, even if I keep copies of the original iOS ones as backups in case I later changed my mind. In every mock-up of iOS and iPadOS I’ve seen with those icons, they just look right. To me, some of the app icons are starting to look a bit dated, especially the Mail app icon in my opinion, I don’t think it’s changed at all since iOS 7. I do vastly prefer the aesthetic of iOS, “old” app icons and all, over Android. I had an Android device long before I ever had an iOS device, and still I find iOS far more appealing aesthetically.I just don't want everything to look the same. It's in the manner of the colorful 2D icons don't try to take over the wallpaper background given the GUI's icon array. So yeah it all compliments each other aesthetically. This customization will probably be pushed further with widgets in the locked screen with iOS 17. Perhaps between iOS 17, iPadOS 17, and MacOS 14 we will see some icons artwork change against updated applications or apps. What do you mean by “GUI with icons”? As an example, I plug in to my car.
Then I make a phone call.
The call quality cuts in and out. At first I thought it was location. But then I noticed that while talking, the elapsed time of counter of the call will freeze, showing the call as 10 seconds elapsed when it was several minutes.
I have to unplug the phone from the car and then plug it back in. Then everything seems to be okay.
It’s just a screenshot of a YouTube iOS 17 concept I found yesterday while looking for some mock-ups.
Okay…so someone else was lazy and couldn’t even size the Mac one to make it look like it should on a phone.
I have an ongoing problem with it interpreting "what" as "Jane". I would expect "what" to be much more common and I have never typed "Jane" on my own and don't know any Janes. What the duck!?I’m going to add a few typing input things that are more wishes than predictions.
Please, please fix QuickPath (the iOS swipe keyboard). It is just awful. Trying to get it to accept “what” rather than “west,” “on” rather than “in,” and countless other combos is maddening. This is an area where AI /ML can shine: is it more likely that I meant “West is going on here” vs. “what is going on here”? Hmmm…. Even more maddeningly, the correct word is frequently shown in the QuickType prediction bar just above the keyboard. (And why does the QuickType suggestion often differ from the little autocorrect word bubble that still pops up on the screen occasionally? And why is the latter still a thing?)
But, in seeming contrast to what I just said, they also have to fix the autocorrect “feature” that changes words after (sometimes long after) you type them based on what it thinks you mean (in turn, based on what you typed after the word in question). A fix would be for iOS to suggest the change but don’t make it without asking me to confirm (much like Grammarly does). I can’t tell you how often I’ve had to fix posts and tweets after the fact because iOS surreptitiously “corrected” words without asking me to confirm the change. That’s on me for not proofreading, but still…
Finally, while they’re at it, they need to fix the autocorrect feature that thinks everything is someone’s name: “able” ≠ “Abel”, “same” ≠ “Samantha”, “perhaps,” ≠ “Pensacola”, etc. I have a very long list of these I’ve posted in the past (and can be viewed at FB10008379 in Feedback). I know Apple is trying to get names right, but harkening back to the after-the-fact autocorrect issue in the previous paragraph, isn’t it more likely that in mean to type “keep” rather than “Kerri” (unless there is something in the context of what I have already written that would indicate that I mean to refer to a person named “Kerri”? And isn’t it more K̶i̶m̶m̶e̶l̶ likely (it just did that- inserted “Kimmel” when I typed “likely”!!!) that I mean “I want to keep the new iPhone” than “I want to Kerri the new iPhone”?

What are the photos of aerora’s for?Yea it should fit the screen, although lately apple has been moving away from elements that cover the whole screen like that. Siri is now just a tiny floating thing, phone calls are a banner at the top of the screen, unless you have a ton of CC toggles I don’t see why it needs to take over the whole screen either on a pro max sized iPhone?
I’d like to see more renders if people can find them. View attachment 2211524 View attachment 2211525

maybe there will be a workaround to still install dev beta without being enrolled in the developer program. 😆
Already got it! There is NO WAY to not have it tomorrow!!! 🥳🤩I know of a 100% solid workaround, it will just cost you 99$.
It’s getting more exciting. Honestly, I’ve never been so excited about any of iOS releases, as I’m right nowOne more day!!! 👍🏻🎊🎉
