I’m also really hoping for an option in the Files app at least to save files and folders to the Home Screen. It’s already fairly simple to do with the Shortcuts app, but it would be much easier if there was an option directly within the Files app, and you didn’t have to use a custom icon for it to show the folder or file icon. 👍🏻. I think it would also make it simpler for people who are used to macOS with a Desktop system. The Home Screen would then be a bit more similar to a “desktop”.

My biggest wish is probably more dynamic island functionality (aside from bug fixes, performance, and stability). I liked the concepts some of you shared with notifications going through it and Siri. I think it just looks a lot cleaner.

Second wish is probably interactive widgets.

If either of these are announced tomorrow, I'll be a very happy camper!

I’m also hoping they do like some people here have suggested, and add the ability to name window groups within Stage Manager, and save them. This reminds me a lot of Safari Tab Groups, and would be a killer organization and workflow refinement feature! I think there’s actually a fairly good chance of Apple implementing this, as it makes some logical sense with the approach they’ve taken to organization with other elements such as browser tabs like I cited earlier. 👍🏻

I don’t know what else is going on tomorrow, but I’ll be anxiously awaiting the WWDC 2023 Keynote! 👍🏻😂. And then hopefully I’ll be able to watch it as long as I’m not to busy. If I am, I’m torn on whether I should check the interwebs to see what’s new, or wait until I can watch it and preserve the surprise element. Last year I got to watch it live, and Stage Manager was such an epic reveal! 👍🏻

I would love it if they would actually lock the lock screen. I cannot stand how the flashlight and camera sometimes gets activated in my pocket. At least let us choose to disable it.

For me it’s the slide to get into the camera thing, I’m constantly opening it up that way. It’s hilarious that it’s gone on this long.

I would love it if Siri saw an significant upgrade across the OS's. Yes no more Hey Siri.

Remember this rumor from last November.

The company is working on an initiative to drop the “Hey” in the trigger phrase so that a user only needs to say “Siri”—along with a command. While that might seem like a small change, making the switch is a technical challenge that requires a significant amount of AI training and underlying engineering work.

Apple has been working on the change for several months and—if all goes to plan—hopes to roll out the switch either next year or the year after. The company has been testing the simplified wake word with employees and collecting the necessary training data.

The complexity involves Siri being able to understand the singular phrase “Siri” in multiple different accents and dialects. Having two words—“Hey Siri”—increases the likelihood of the system properly picking up the signal.

Apple has also been engineering further changes. It will integrate the voice assistant deeper into third-party apps and services and improve its ability to understand users and take the correct course of action

That rumor has resurfaced in recent days so I’d say that has a decent chance of occurring.

As long as it doesn’t do this everytime I say “are you serious” to somebody in the room.

Me: Are you serious???

Siri: Yes, I’m not allowed to be frivolous.

"She" needs a significant intelligence upgrade! There have been SO many false positives since they moved Siri local.

It's almost to the point of happening daily.

Edit: Yes, of course I send in the feedback reports (before anyone prods) :D

We can barely contain our excitement, even Dad is excited!!

Gwhizkids is excited for WWDC, A tech event that’s sure to be, Full of surprises and innovation, It’s the perfect destination.
With Apple’s keynote in sight, Gwhizkids can’t wait for the night, To see what new features will be, And what new hardware we’ll see.
So let’s all join in the fun, And celebrate what’s yet to come, For WWDC is sure to be, A tech event that’s history.

I hate to say it, but most likely the implementation from your car. What make/model? Did you hard restart your phone?

Yes, rebooting the phone was the first thing I tried.

The vehicle is a 2020 Toyota 4Runner. The dealership blames it on Apple and when I called Apple for support, they say the problem is on Toyota's end.

Less than 24 hours left. Expecting iOS 17 Developer Beta to be dropped Tomorrow. This is it!

In addition, I just wanted to 🙏🏻 personally thank everyone for being here. Hoping for total excitement and being blown away. Apple will surprise us all. Apple will leave us speechless. We got work to do. 🌎 This World is Ours! 💫

It’s almost here, less than 12 hours away, any last minute predictions??

Remember, just about every year there’s been concrete rumors that didn’t happen, and total surprises. I expect no less tomorrow, lots of letdowns, and some surprises.

Get some good sleep tonight, eat a good breakfast so you’re not hungry while watching the keynote. The ceremonies have begun! 🎪🍇🕯️

Split View comes to iPhones finally. iPhones will play a big role with AR adoption using IOS 17. M2 Max and M2 Ultra desktops will be shown running MacOS 14.
