No, and I think they made the old Siri even dumber.Sorry if this has been asked and answered: will smarter Siri work on older (but iOS 18 supported) iPhones like the 13 pro? I don’t mean all the specific bells and whistles but just not having to converse with the current iteration… thanks
Haven’t done a fresh install, as I can’t be bothered to set up all my apps again lol, especially banking apps.
Will see how the next beta goes, then decide.
Just reinstall the beta first, before a fresh install. It doesn’t touch your apps. See how that works. Normally it fixes all those types of niggles.
I haven't had any resprings or crashes on my 13PM. Stutters? Yes, a lot, especially in photos app. Terrible battery life? Yes, on LTE but on wifi it's way better than on iOS 17.This has been the worst beta for me on my 13 pro. Resprings, stutters, terrible battery life.
Roll on the next beta.

I realised that on this beta when my phone connects to my car and music starts playing through CarPlay, it skips every second for few minutes. Really annoying and restart doesn't help.
Also alarms are not working properly for me. Sometimes only my watch vibrates, sometimes only my phone rings, and when I turn it off on my watch, it doesn't turn off on my phone.
I have an issue with carplay where sometimes it doesn't connect and I have to unplug and plug back in, or the weird bug (that's been around for awhile) where the screen is reversed and you can't use the touch screen in car to click items. This happened on my 15 pro as well as the 16 pro in my subaru.I don’t have the CarPlay or alarms problem. Strange how we have different bugs, on the same model phone lol.
You better watch only YouTube and avoid watching any other tube channels on this beta 😜😂Running B5 on both the 15PM and iPad Pro 11. Only have seen this issue when on the iPad but …
I have a Google TV (TCL 55” 4K) and have the same user id / YouTube Premium on all three devices. All streaming or local, no cable.
With B5, if my wife has the TV on and I am watching YT on the iPad, sporadically the TV will switch to YT showing the thumbnail pic of what I am watching on the iPad. Until B5, it has never done that. She can be watching Prime, Paramount, Apple TV, etc… makes no difference that we have seen. I can be using my Honor V2 for YT and it never happens. Just the iPad so far and on B5.
I am going to try this today on my 15PM. Don’t usually watch YT on the 15.
I have to say the bug where app icons disappear is the most annoying bug I’ve seen in recent iOS builds
Isn't it amazing that different iPhones and/or different people have a varying degree of success, or no end of troubles, or indeed, like me, have absolutely no issues with Beta5 on my 15PM!
Stay safe out there folks!
I get this with 18.0. I’ve tried turning off head gestures to see if it helps. Need to test this further though.I’m having a really weird behavior with my AirPods, and I’m curious if others are getting it because I didn’t notice it before this beta. When Siri reads me texts I receive, my AirPods make a strange slow beeping noise. It only happens when Siri is reading messages and not listening to music. Has anyone else had this happen?
Can confirm for me as well. Saw this happen on iPhone 14 Pro and 16 PM since the last beta. Hope it gets fixed with the next oneYou better watch only YouTube and avoid watching any other tube channels on this beta 😜😂
To be honest when I do any semi heavy work in Photos on iOS my phone warms up. Been like that on both the 15 PM and 16 Pro.Clean up tool, just did 3 clean ups in a row on different images and my phone started to get rather warm. Definitely needs a bit more work under the hood.

Photos app doesn’t seem to be great at handling a lot of the features it has - they seem to really push the hardware.
Maybe that’s just a fact of life though, not a bug. Maybe the phones are just about powerful enough to do what the Photos app needs but will usually heat up to get there.
It’s always the app I feel is most fragile - it’s been my most used app for years and has gotten progressively less stable.
