I’m not sure where this idea that your feedback level is the determinant came from. Is there any real evidence of that?

As to it being Sunday, yesterday was Saturday and people got in. I don’t think there’s a team of Apple people working the switches letting people in. It’s almost certainly automated. So I think any day of the week is fair game.

Pure speculation.

All of a sudden all of my new emails appear only in the “Important” folder, not in my “Inbox.”
I have list view on; categories off.

Do you have “Requires Attention” on? I’ve noticed it does seem a bit more intentional with having to stare directly at the sensor with that setting now - more than in prior builds, including earlier iOS 18 ones.
Dang it... yes 😑 Can't believe I missed that, I always keep it off but it must have turned itself back on a few betas ago. Thanks!

I woke up a little while ago and checked the Playground app and it was just buffering and I got excited.

It was just that our ISP was down. Turned WiFi off and I'm still waiting for access.

It just occurred to me: with today’s expected release of 18.1, it’s possible Apple wants to limit the stress on the download and/or Private Cloud Compute servers that might come from many users (on the 18.2 beta) using the image tools at the same time millions of new 18.1 users are downloading and starting to use the 18.1 Apple Intelligence features.

To us here, the 18.1 stuff is old hat, but for normies, today will be their first exposure to it. The last thing Apple wants is for there to be significant server delays or non-functioning features.

So Apple is having the best of both worlds: they’ve got 18.2 out there being tested by a smaller subset than usual, and they’re able to get the new 18.1 users onboard without overloading the system as they download the new assets and stay playing with the new 18.1 tools (in particular Clean Up).

To be honest, I don´t think much people will activate apple intelligence on 18.1. My guess is those who are interested are already in with the developer beta

Very true @gwhizkids unfortunately for us 18.2 beta users that don’t have image playground we may not see any requests approved till later part of this week when the load on the apple servers lessens. 😢

You’re kidding right? That is almost certainly not the case.

99% of iPhone users (maybe even 99.9%) have no idea the beta program exists let alone how to install a beta.
How would they then know there is apple intelligence ready to be activated in the Siri settings?
