iOS 18.2 RC 2 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Mail still broken for me. Opening a notification just takes me to the main inbox and freezes. After almost 10 seconds, it finally lets me click on the email to read it. The expected behavior is tapping the notification and it goes straight to the email itself, not the inbox.

Also, some emails get stuck on downloading when replying to it. 16 PM.

Updated. Bluetooth turned itself on, which it didn't do with the last beta or two (for the first times ever!).

MacOS RC2 left Bluetooth off.
 
I'm still getting the issue with Siri when I ask to do something home automated for a future time like "turn off the lights in 10 minutes" it won't be able to do it and replies with: Automations must be set at least one minute out. But that's precisely what I'm doing.

Anyone else ? Any ideas ?
Happens on both phone & watch.

Can’t fully turn Vehicle Motion Cues off…they only duplicate. Pretty pathetic for a presumably “final” version. These companies just be hiring anyone these days apparently :rolleyes:
 
Looking at most of these posts about performance. Oi, what a mess!

Summer at least before I let go of 17. Maybe not at all. This stuff looks like it will chew my 13 mini to pieces.

Defaults work. I set Proton Mail as my default and it is working well.
 
I wonder how long iOS 18 will remain in beta? Mail app is still slow and getting unusable.
Zoom app won't login via SSO (ticket lodged) and Safari is slow and keeps refreshing its pages.
All apps appear to restart from scratch when I was only on the app a minute or two prior.
iOS 18 is a mess.

22C151 IOS & 15PM and 16P bug. Siri will sometimes start with the color surround light but the small SIRI logo, (screen top center), does NOT come on and SIRI fails command. Maybe 2 or 3 out of 8 tries will fail. Anyone else having this issue & thanks?

Must be AI working on summarizing the email.
 
So… still no reply regarding the issue with the ProRAW camera & image quality. I’m sure the issues currently being discussed are important, but so is the camera when using ProRAW. Aren’t you beta testers supposed to be checking this??

Pro Raw works fine on my 16 Pro Max

Incorrect..It’s an iOS 18 issue. I have two 16 pro max iPhones, both 1TB. One has the ProRAW & focus issue, the other does not. On the Desert titanium iPhone, a third party app using ProRAW has to be used to avoid the default camera ProRAW image quality and focus issue. So, Apple needs to fix this soon!

Springboard has been crashing on and off since I installed the RC 1, I hope this fixes it.

Crazy since I haven't seen a springboard crash in years since I stopped jailbreaking on the 6, absolutely never on stock iOS.

15 Pro Max.

I have consistently gotten springboard crashes on betas however with an RC (or final release) you would certainly expect to see less of that, ideally none at all. I got one recently on 18.1
