Looks like it’s the new “Analyzing scenes/Finding duplicates”.

On that note, my phone’s taking WAY longer to “optimize” everything. Like, at least twice as long as on old iOS. It’s still on the charger every night so nothing’s changed except for the new version.
Are your photos local? Not using iCloud Photos? I have over 5K photos in my library and haven't seen any hint of "optimizing" since upgrading to iOS 18.

Thanks. I have 21,008 photos/videos in iCloud but mine was a clean reinstall.

But that’s not a topographical map. It’s just a map with custom walking directions.

Yea you’re not gonna really see anything “topographical” on a Florida key lol.

I checked the mountains around here and set it to walking directions and they showed up, wasn’t aware you had to do that but they work.

Hello. Was anyone successful in getting the audioOS to appear in updating Homepods?

Ok, so I’ve got 2 sims in the phone, one of which I’m waiting for the number to transfer on. You can’t get into the screen to change to number.

The Calendar and Reminders are integrated now. All my reminders show up in the Calendar app and sync automatically. It's really convenient to see everything in one place. Still need to use the Reminders app to add new tasks.
