The respringing is driving me effing crazy. What's weird is my SE is not doing it at all, but my 15 is respringing every app all the time. I'll be using an app, go to home screen and open another, and they will both respring as I switch between them. Doesn't matter if it's in light mode, dark mode, background refresh on or off, etc. Restart didn't help either. I might try reinstalling from IPSW tomorrow, I can't live like this till next update lol
This has been happening to me as well. It happens way too often. Not sure what the deal is. I have reported this to Apple like 3-4 times already. It’s definitely driving me crazy also. I guess that’s what I get for installing a beta. Seems when I have dark mode turned off it happens less. So hard to live without dark mode though when you have a bad eye disease and very sensitive eyes. Hopefully they’ll address this issue pretty soon. You would think something like this they would definitely push out a quick update for. 🤷‍♂️

Can someone check the safari version on this build (iOS 18 Beta 4)?

I want to compare to the 18.1 Beta 1 to try to figure out if the AI stuff is the only new thing added to the 18.1 Beta 1 build or if we are actually ahead there with the rest of the development too.

Thanks!

Update: Most likely it will be the same, as the safari is still at 18.0, rather than 18.1.

I’m updating to the public beta 18.1 Just to see if it will fix this respringing issue. If not, then I’ll just update the next beta when that comes out. I really am hoping this is fixed.

Just be aware that you may not be able to go back to 18.0 betas without restoring from a backup made from an 18.0 beta build or earlier version.

It might just be that iOS 18.0 PB3 and iOS 18.1 PB1 will come at the same time with the same general fixes. You can treat iOS 18.1 as iOS 18.0+AI.

Apple intelligence setup screen causing resprings. So much for the fix! Either way, I’ll be testing her. Also, double tapping on the bottom to ‘type my response’ isn’t working so well. Not sure if I’m just not tapping in the right area or what. Maybe I’m doing it wrong. Anybody else that’s figured it out please let me know. TIA!

FYI, this should probably be in the 18.1 beta thread.

Anyone else unsure about jumping to iOS 18.1? I’m excited for Apple Intelligence but not sure that I want to add probably another month of beta testing to my timeline. 😬

I feel if someone is willing to go from iOS 17 to 18.0 beta, then why not go for 18.1.

I can't, as my phone doesn't have the necessary power to make Siri smart (or less stupid, depending on your point of view), so I'm hoping enough people stick on 18.0 to keep this thread alive.

For folks on the updated beta 4. If you are on T-Mobile in the US do you have the cellular connection dropping bug?
