Seriously. I might just keep "reduce transparency" set to on until all this gets sorted. The 3D Touch menu on icons is so bad on the 6s Plus with these betas.
I can't believe how much smoother it is with reduce transparency on. It's equivalent to the 6s. This is a bit sad.

So basically other than a labeling glitch and some button on/off animation glitch in the settings which on an importance scale of 1-10 are about a .1, no major bugs.

no, but have there been major bugs in any release recently?

I can't believe that in 2015 we are still talking about things being slow and stuttering with all the technology in the world smh

That means nothing.

Give the best ingredients to an amateur chef and he still can't make you a Michelin star dish.

A single tap on the home button on the Lock Screen when playing music brings up the time, looks strange. Always been like this?

I was thinking the size of this might be from eliminating debug code (as people are noting the 'non-beta' number).... Not much else would generate an image/differential from 9.1PB3 of that size.

So, yeah, this could be 'the beginning of the end' for 9.1 betas.

So apple's software team is an amateur chef and apple's hardware team is churning out the best ingredients, but the resulting iPhone is not worthy of even 1 michelin star

got it

When using personal hotspot or on a call, apps do not "adapt" to the new size of the status bar. A lot of overlapping happening and content being overcome by the keyboard. Happens mainly in 3rd party apps. Don't remember this being this bad on other betas.

Throwing more engineers at a problem isn't necessarily the way to fix it. It's possible that it's still a semi-elusive issue that isn't getting as much internal attention as other issues. iOS 9 does have some more pressing issues...such as the random freezing thing.

Well, I wasn't implying that it was simply a numbers game. It's a management problem. Obviously, you have different experts working on specific bugs. The way in which bugs get prioritized at tech companies is one of the great mysteries of the world. :D

2 bugs

1. When you save a picture as a contact picture. You have to force close messages in order to see it pop up

2. When you go to add a contact. It doesn't take you to the screen after entering in contact info.

Can anyone confirm?

Is the ability to push the picture in picture video off the edge of the screen new in this release or has it been around a while? Either way, found it by accident just now. There are four positions of the video window at the top and four at the bottom of the screen in landscape mode on my iPad Air 2

I don't get it really - why does Apple use a blurring code that is inefficient even on its newest flagship phone? Or, why use it in places where they clearly can't achieve stutter-free operation?

It's only inefficient on A5 devices because the A5 simply can't handle blur well. The A6 and up have no issues with this UI effect.

Performance issues on iOS 9, even on the latest iPhone, are most likely due to Metal. I've read a few developer forums saying the same thing.

The Reduce Transparency issue has been there since iOS 8.0.

Just clarifying that.
Oh yeah, I know. It's just sad that it's STILL an issue. Yes, it was much worse on the 6 Plus, but you'd hope they would have fixed it this time around.

As for Metal, you may be onto something. The GFXBench Metal Scores are lower, for all devices, compared to their OpenGL scores.
