It may be boring to see it in every thread. But so is the same 2-3 people chiming in on every single thread that includes "iOS 9, 9.1, should I update, performance, I ate lunch today at 9" about how disappointed they are about lag and how unusable it is for them and no one should use iOS 9 because of their own dissatisfaction of it.

You realise you just described yourself in reverse, right?

Same 2-3 people chiming in how "it's just your device!" and "smooth here!"... yeah, you get the idea.

How can they ignore the fact that performance is such an important part about iOS?

If I were in charge of iOS, performance and security would be #1 on my list, above all else (new features, etc.).

I hope that this "Soon." only applies to beta 1 of iOS 9.2. If that's the case, then Apple is finally recognizing that iOS 9 runs incredibly bad, and that's good. Otherwise, they just aren't even caring about the customer anymore.

Isn't that "soon" just a placeholder for any improvements found by the OP? Apple hasn't said anything have they?

I think they had slid it up so not to see that.

Correct

True. So then it is working for omegis83 as well.

It was slid up because I'm picky about screenshots. But yes, I've got Enable Restrictions at the top.

You've just described the biggest problem with Apple right now. Their marketing team is making all the decisions with regards to what features gets put on new OS releases. Garbage performance OS like iOS 9 gets released when the marketing team is placed above the software engineers

How?

I didn't say "it's just your device" or "smooth here". It's been accepted for a while now that iOS 9 does stutter. However it's the relentless few that feel the need to post their dissatisfaction in any and all threads that even mention iOS 9. Claiming because it's utterly useless to them it's fact that it will be utterly useless to all. When the hard truth is, it varies person to person. So for them to keep "scaring" people away from updating because of their blanket statement, that's when others chime in about only each individual user can decide for themselves if it's good enough (for now and will most likely get better over time) and worth the new features.

The constant whine posts about lag are getting borderline childish at this point when they find their way into every single thread related to or not about it. I swear if someone started a thread "I have 9 safari tabs open" just the fact the number "9" is in the title, lag posts would find their way in there. Again, it's not until then do others chime in to provide whatever OP with more usable feedback instead of whiney one sided BS.

Not really for those still on 8.4.1 or below, the trial period has expired, but then again that is a topic that has beaten around the bush. One can decide to take a chance. Since there is no way to go back to 8.4.1 or below, people have to rely on feedback they read on the message boards, good or bad.

I agree. Feedback good or bad should be known. But it's all the one sided posts that may mislead someone who actually wants to update and gain the latest features and so on, that's what is troubling. For many people suffering a bit of animation stuttering doesn't outweigh the feature gains. This is why others have had to chime in afterwards and provide feedback about the "bigger picture" so to speak. It might be detrimental to some to have fewer than 60fps animations, I get that. But in all honesty there is so much more to iOS than just animation performance. The hyper focusing on one single area is tiresome.

It's that "horrific" bug that would cause the settings app to scroll a little bit down when you open it rather than staying at the very top.
Oh, I see it now. Strange, I guess I never really noticed, so it wasn't a big deal to me. Sloppy work, though, hope they fix it by 9.1.1/9.2.

Alot of people making those one sided posts have asked for videos showing iOS 9 performance that is on par or better than 8.4.1, yet there is none to be found. Those one sided people have posted videos showing the opposite, sure some may be judgemental but in some it is clear as day the difference. Sure safari may be better but the users first impression is the user interface as that is what one sees the most. The A7 is perfectly capable of driving Infinity Blade 3,( yes, 2 years old but much more graphic intensive than iOS) yet we have animation issues with the UI in iOS 9?
