I'm going to put in another vote for beta 6 today. Gives them plenty of time to load a final release on the new phones, but put another version in our hands so there can be a small day 1 OTA if needed to squash any other minor bugs.
Are you an Apple employee? If so, I'm pretty sure you shouldn't be writing stuff like that on the interwebs.Sorry guys but been working with engineers on some bugs and they told me yesterday the GM has been signed off on and has gone to be burned on new devices that dont exist yet. They said all bugs we are working on are now for 9.01 and 9.1. You wont see another beta....just a GM on Sept 9.

Haha.Hmmm account created today and has inside information..... Which could only mean one thing.... You are absolutely right
And something like a month would be fairly consistent with how long the last beta was around for when it comes previous x.0 versions and their betas.Good point. It's been 14 says since the last beta. If the event does take place on the 9th of September, that'll be 34 days since beta 5. Hopefully, we'll see the sixth beta today and then they'll have another 20 days to work on the final release. We can hope!

I wish Apple would put out a release schedule for their betas.
That would be a huge mistake - if for some reason they have to push back a release the rabid apple fanatics would go crazy on the interwebs, blogs, social media.I wish Apple would put out a release schedule for their betas.
Haha.
Of course. This guy is 100% telling the truth!
So that's it guys, see you on the 9th!!
THIS.If it's not released today, there's an even higher chance it won't be released next week.
so the new beta for El Capitan just got released, i believe apple released a new beta for ios 9 2 weeks ago when the released an el capitan beta as well, do you guys think we'll see the ios 9 beta come with the el capitan beta today as well? i hope so!
It's not that it doesn't have anything to do with it as much as the present can certainly be different, but the past can give some indications if something might be more or less typical (not to say it will or won't happen or is even necessarily more or less likely to happen).True but I'm afraid the past has nothing to do with the present. Beta 5 might have had less issues to fix that when comparing to iOS 8 beta 5.
If it's not released today, there's an even higher chance it won't be released next week.
My information below is based on the event taking place on the 9th of September:
If beta 6 is released today, that'll, as I've already said, give Apple another 20 days to get the GM ready.
If beta 6 is released next Thursday, that'll only give Apple 13 days to get the GM ready.
So in my opinion, no beta 6 today, no more beta's.
But as always, no-one knows, we'll find out in less than four hours.
There's a good reason for them not to, so that people don't try to hold them up to some unnecessary expectations. Things should be done in relation to when they are ready, not some arbitrary dates.I wish Apple would put out a release schedule for their betas.
The beta was pulled down later and released today.A new El Capitan beta was already released yesterday. They wouldn't release another one a day later unless there was a serious bug.
The beta was pulled down later and released today.
Well, yes it was. But only the public beta was released too early and pulled down. Here is a quote from the article that you have reffered to:
"Apple has also re-seeded the fifth public beta of OS X El Capitan to public beta testersafter accidentally releasing it yesterday and then pulling it."
