I guess this will be another of Cook's failed releases as he puts greater emphasis on deadlines and gaudy design for the Chinese market, rather than quality. No wonder they already have 9.1 in sight.
Kind of early to make that call. And 9.1 doesn't really say much about it one way or another.

Them already working on 9.1 means jack all on the state of 9.0. Most companies start developing the next update around when/before the current one releases. That's called smart planning. I can almost guarantee they've had a roadmap all in place for 9.1, 9.2 and so on for what they want to add to iOS 9 for a long time now. 9.1 is rumoured to be late October or sometime November, so of course they are going to be working on it already.

You just sound like one of those grumpy "if Steve was still here...blah, blah, blah" people.

What are you on about? With beta's Apple have no schedule to adhere to.

iOS 9 WILL be ready so stop complaining.

And of course they're working on 9.1. You think they simply work on one update? *sighs*

Feeling good guys? Felt superior?

I wouldn't complain if I were able to downgrade, but that will not happen with my Apple Watch (watchOS2). So stuck with the betas. I'm happy it runs great for you guys, but it doesn't for me and on previous years I've downgraded when encountered terrible issues. I can't downgrade this year.

But hey, I hope you guys vented off too and felt good.

Did you made a clean install? (restoring the i6 after installing ios 9 b5?)
Or you directly installed over ios 8?

What you need to do to your iPhone is restore as new to the lastest iOS 8 version available which is 8.4.1 and then go through the setup screen on your phone. Once you are done and see the home screen, Update to the iOS 9 beta 5 before changing any settings of your phone. Do not restore from backup at any point during this whole process and you will be amazed with this beta 5 and its battery life

They work on iOS 9.1 not beause of errors they currently know in 9.0 beta, but beause it is supposed to add some new features (support for the iPad Pro being the most probable).

On my ipad 2 ios 9 beta 5 is far more stable than anny version of ios8. Baterry life on ios 9 is ok but not great. Game center is broken and safari is buggy as heal. I hope they will poloshe this os before goes out. Hate those fps drop on multitasking and swiping on home screen.

There is absolutely no way you can assume that. First off, just because you have poor performance doesn't mean everyone else does. Clearly that is not the car. Just look at the posts a few above yours. Second, I guarantee you iOS 10&11 are already in sight. Just because 9.1 has been spotted means nothing. Didn't Macrumors see traffic for 8.5? That's never going to be released.

No, they didn't.

This is such an ignorant statement:

- Tim Cook is the CEO of Apple and his main role is to make sure Apple is running smoothly as a company. He is not involved directly in design/features of iOS.

- Software companies are always developing future versions of software at the same time as the current version. did you think they go on vacation for a year and come back to start the next version? I wouldn't be surprised if Apple has already started the development process of iOS 10.

I think it was just both 8.3 and 8.4 were spotted at the same time right around the release of 8.2. (Or was it when 8.1 was released?) Anyways it was 8.3 and 8.4 that got spotted together super early.

I see you get joy out of other people's frustrations. Yes, I did make the choice. As I've made it for the last 5 years. However if your reading comprehension was up to normal standards you'd have read that when I've run into problems in the past I've downgraded. However, I can't do that this year due to watchOS2.

Surely they must have all gone on vacation after a software releases when Steve was still around. Tim doesn't let them now and that's why quality has gone down. Right? :p /s *not mocking you*

You could have downgraded. Apple says to send your watch in and they downgrade it back to 1.0.1 for you. But I guess it's easier to complain.

Perhaps you should've read up on whether or not the Watch was user downgradeable or not considering this was the first beta ever available for it.

Or, of course, you could assume it works like every other device with regards to downgrading and then get pissed off at everyone when it doesn't.

If I lived in the US, or UK I suppose I could send it in and get a replacement in 1 week. Not in my banana republic. I wasn't blessed with the luck of being born in a developed country like you guys.

I suppose that's true, the turn around to get it back would be longer. But isn't a 2-3 week turnaround on sending your watch better than around two months of being stuck on beta that's frustrating you? Plus they might rush it since it's in a way partially their goof the watch can't be downgraded (but also partially your goof on taking the beta risk) Since you never inquired (I assume) you don't know the exact turnaround time it would have been. It's kinda too late now though because it's probably only 3 weeks out till both officially release.

I installed WatchOS 2.0 on my Apple watch and was frustrated with the peformance.

I called Apple and told them I'm an idiot for installing it and they sent me a new watch with 1.0 installed on it in exchange for mine. another user on this forum did the same thing.

Anybody having performance issues with iOS 9 I highly suggest you do a fresh install, set up as new iPhone THEN restore backup. The difference is amazing and I can't believe it took me so long with horrible performance to try that. After I did that I have iOS 8 smoothness back!

So upgrade to iOS 9 then do a backup then restore iOS 9 as new then load up the backup you just did and presto the lag when tapping apps to open is truly gone?

I did fresh install and iTunes backup just because I don't really trust iCloud backups. I feel better doing it through iTunes and it's faster.
