So 10 business days as of today and and no email. Put on waitlist back on May 8th 32G 3G.

Are people finding the Apple Retail Store is taking longer than the On-line store?

6 day wait

Put in an order for a 3G 32GB on Saturday, May 15 at the 14th Street store in NYC and just received my notification at Noon. Faster than I thought.

im new york based.

did the notify me of a 16gb+3g ipad on 5/3 ... I just got my email today.

I reserved it at the 14th street apple store.

Now I am contemplating whether or not I should go pick it up...

People have to work to be that stupid though. Every statement explains the deferred interest amount and drop dead payoff date. Maybe it's because I'm literate and read my bills that I have no sympathy for people who miss this stuff?

Well I'm an Account Manager (that guy people who ask for a supervisor speak to) and you would be surprised at how many people just tell me they never read their statements, or that we tried to hide it (which is pretty illegal to do... So we don't...) and just argue that they deserve more that the time that they agreed to....

So yeah, your the type of person I wish everyone was.... But that will never happen.

----

oh yeah, 13 days after I reserved it my 16gb 3g is finally in today.

Wow, that sucks.

At least your new iPad is in. :D

U.S. Apple Retail Stores Continue to Experience iPad Shortages

Analyst Gene Munster with Piper Jaffray said his team contacted representatives at 50 Apple retail stores and found that 74 percent of them were sold out of all models of the iPad, with the Wi-Fi model available in 26 percent of stores, and the 3G version sold out.

The people who said the iPad would be a flop are now switching their tune to "omg this is the end of life, liberty, open source, and possibly western civilization!"

It makes me giggle.

Don't know how accurate this is but when i reserved ipads at a few locations in los angeles, an apple rep told me if I did not get the notification email within a hour of reserving, that my reservation was probably not placed correctly. So I made sure I got those emails when I called the stores (with different emails of course ;) because some of the prior stores emails did not go through. While i was on the phone with the rep, I made sure I got each reservation email and each your iPad is here email. The stores that I did not get a reservation email from, I've not gotten a iPad here email. Just a FYI

I've been in the hunt for a 64gig 3G model for a while now in Boston -- I plan ongiving it to an old friend -- but there have been none in Boston. Just for kicks I checked for obscure best buys in new Hampshire and scored one this afternoon on my way up to Vermont. I cant imagine 3g models are selling particularly well up here -- there is very poor coverage in VT and NH. Also I would much rather have purchased it in an apple store but hey now I have it!

Now will I have the intestinal fortitude to give my buddy his 3G iPad and stick with my own launch day wifi only version -- or do I switch them and score a 3G that I should have waited for myself!!!!???????

Help me resist OR tell me to give in!!

Today is my 14th day and I still have no signs of getting one today...:(
they should really fix this! How can they have such a shortage!

The only thing that I can think of is that apple dramatically underestimated the desire for this product. Because it is a 'tweener' device, between an iphone and laptop, maybe they thought it would take awhile to catch on.

Miraculously I did get the iPad email today at 12:06 for a 16 GB 3G at the Fashion Valley Apple Store in San Diego (reserved on the 8th)
So happy!:D

Got it today!

32G 3G model, put on waitlist on May 8, got email today. Hang in there folks!

There is some of that, but I'm reading a lot of snide, snotty posts from h8trs that Apple brainwashed buys but very soon buyers will break free of Apple's mind arrest and suddenly become "bored" with their iPad and stick in in there sock drawer, never to see daylight again.

Ha. What weird pointless dreams some people have.

I saw that one on the BB website. If it was still ski season, I would have picked it up myself.;)

got my notification! (Northern VA)

I reserved a 16 GB+3G at the Fair Oaks VA Apple Store on 5/6. Got my notification this morning. Perfect timing, given that I probably will have to travel unexpectedly this week.

Wow. Notification on a Sunday morning. Somebody in front of you failed to pick up their 16GB + 3G.

Day 6 here, and I'm really kind of expecting it before day 10. I don't know why I set myself up for disappointment like that. lol

Ordered an iPad 3G 32gb tonight. It's saying it'll arrive on June 12.

WHY MUST EVERYTHING I BUY ARRIVE DURING MY VACATIONS???
