Agreed. UPS has their business down to a fuel saving, highly efficient delivery machine. Everything down to the order of stops on the route is computerized and these men and women have to hustle. Their every move including the time out of the truck per stop is clocked. The delivery people in my area get on the road from the city hub by 8am and head back after 7pm in the evening. I don't think early delivery is in the cards because other freight, packages, etc is on the Thursday run. The drivers do not get to decide what gets delivered when. They need to clear customs, but these are in huge pallets. They don't get broken down until they've cleared and then subject to Apples contract are released to be sent to your local UPS distribution hub. (Thursday)
If you look at your UPS app it'll tell you when it should arrive, not earlier.
I'd say there's a 99% chance you won't get it early. UPS has a lot of money riding on this.
