Import yourself using Borderlinx or something, works out cheaper than eBay IMO although it could be more than UK price but we don't know yet ;) :p

Now I haven't heard of borderlinx :) I now have a good list of these businesses :D

EDIT: GBP 263.19 to ship .... :/

So using the cheapest service to get the 16GB iPad wi-fi to the UK, how much will it cost?

And how long will it take?
 
Now i'm most probably completely wrong but..

We have the election on the 6th and who knows what the pound will do against the dollar, is Apple waiting to make a killing? announcing the UK price a few days later???

I don't know about Apple waiting for this specifically, but the possible effect of the election on the pound had occurred to me also.
 
Does anyone know what the actual shipping times are likely to be from the online Apple Store? It says 5-7 days in the US for all models, but does it actually ship any quicker than that?

Do you think they are delaying all international sales just because of the UK election?

Same here, and you get the odd thread in this forum regarding people who are waiting a replacement iPad from Apple in the US - I prefer to err on the side of caution. Besides, I am still confident prices will be accessible.
