On the US Store, both the wireless keyboard and the keyboard dock are both $69. I would assume then that the keyboard dock will be £56 in the UK. The official case will be about £35, the standard dock and camera kit will be £25.

hold on.....

£70 difference for the extra between 16gb and 32gb....

£100 for the same difference of 32-64?????

im disappointed!!!!! whoever it was at the start of the thread who said unbelievable price meant a high one, i tip my hat to you sir.......

really wanted the 64gb, but im not spending £600 on one, no way
:(:apple::(

It's about what I expected. What did you think the price would be?

I'm not sure why people are so surprised. I've seen so many posts on this thread guessing a £429 entry price mark, and I fully expected to pay at least £100 extra for the 3G. So not a surprise at all really...

I may need to call Carol Vorderman on this one, but the difference between 16 and 32 is NOT the same as the difference between 32 and 64. Surely.

to be totally honest, boblister i dont know...... just feel that their a bit higher, and theres no need to have a £30 difference between 32 and 64, the 64 has nothing else extra than the 32 (barring memory)

£430 to me isnt an unbelievable price,

ill still get one, but itll only be the 32 and not the 64gb, ill also be getting a mifi, or jailbreaking my iphone as the orange data plan isnt getting the best reviews

one thing though... fair play to apple for announcing prices before midnight on monday! seems co-incidental that its the day of our hung parliament and our £££ bad performance

I'm sure it's been asked before, but this thread seems to move quite quickly. Does anyone have an idea of when on the 10th it will be put up for pre-order on apple.com? I've never sat around in anticipation of something like this before, but I know they seem to follow certain trends when it comes to updating the online store. So will it be in the morning, afternoon? As soon as midnight hits?

I wouldn't have thought that the election or currency situation has had much (if any) bearing on these prices. I would imagine they have been decided for a while just not released until today. The currency / FTSE etc will rectify themselves, but I wouldn't expect the price of the iPad to change with them.

In fact the only thing I can see that would change the price is if demand is a lot less than supply.

I think the price is what I expected. As for the extra £30 for the 32gb to 64gb jump compared to the 16 to 32. You get 16gb increase for £70 but a 32gb increase for £100. And that's not fair?

I wonder whether you'll be able to reserve an iPad for pick up on the day. I don't really want to preorder and get it delivered.... I know they did this for the US folks, hopefully they'll do the same for us.

No probs, glad to help.
Why don't you take the store's phone number with you while you're away and give them a call first thing??

http://www.apple.com/uk/retail/

oh right, i can call them and pre-order?? thought i had to pay and everything (i want to pick it up instore)

I'm not aware of having to pay anything during the Pre-Order process. I want to pick up at store as well, so I'm going to the store on Monday. Just figured if you can call them then it'll save your Mrs a trip (and you can maybe accidentally order the wrong model if you catch my drift lol)

Hold on I'll ring my local store now and see what they say....

According to the store in Belfast, they aren't taking reservations :( So it'll be ordering online for me then. Does anyone know if the most of the Americans who preordered got theirs delivered on the day of release?

So if that's the case I don't see how it can be different for other stores!!! Or can it? Really annoying if they're not doing reservations. :(
