The site closed just after midnight and came back up with iPad preordering just after 1am -but the site went down/up a few times and initially some links weren't working correctly. I ordered at 1:11am, most people with issues ordered around this time.
 
I ordered at 9:01am this morning, according to my order details on the online store.

Not received any email confirmation yet, although I keep checking my order details on the website and everything appears fine. I have an order number etc anyway so I'm not too worried for the time being.

Mine has been stuck in a sort of limbo. If you try and edit any of the order details with the edit links beside the order (email, shipping address etc) it popped up a come back in 15 mins processing message. This has just changed for me now to make it editable. So it's got further. But it now also says this
"Items will be shipped when all items are available." I think the SIM might hold it up now.
 
pre-order placed and confirmed (8.30 am GMT+1).

In Italy the WiFi 32GB is priced 599 euros. If you take US price, add VAT and convert (badly, today) to euro you get 554. This 'foreign tax' of 45 euros hurts, but years ago was much bigger for apple products, so I think I can live with it.

I ordered at 12.58am, I'm thinking I might have been the first. I was working night shift, very bored with nothing to do (not that I'm complaining).
My order says I made the order on the 9th haha.

I lasted until 12.30, before cracking and ordering one. Only 16gb, to see how I get on with it. And a case. Roll on May 28th. Thanks to all for keeping me company on this thread, through the long desperate weeks of waiting.

Do you realise that the iPad comes with a power adapter, and that you've ordered an additional one? Nearly caught me out this morning until I re-read all the fine print!
 
Ordered 32gb Wifi and Case here.

Ordered around 4am, but received no confirmation email. Was just about to call them to check and it came through... Better late than never! :)

It's not a trick to catch people out. The charger that comes with your iPad has a fairly short cable. This other one on sale has a longer cable. But you can of course modify the charger that comes with the iPad.

Same as me. I have a 3G MIFI anyway. I got a bluetooth GPS working on the wifes WIFI iPad over the weekend. I was quite pleased how it worked.
 
Just phoned them regarding my confirmation email. The lady on the end of the phone, who was very helpful and well mannered considering how frustrated they must be with the volume of calls of this nature today, advised me that at the moment the emails could take upto 24 hours. That could be the case all week. I confirmed my details with her and she confirmed there were no problems with my order so I think it's literally just a case of waiting. Easier said than done, I guess, although I don't doubt that my order is fine..
