*shrug* it just turned up at work today, no charges mentioned and no letter attached. USPS did seem to double box it though which may have made a difference.
Will be nice when it is released in the UK though due to content etc.

I've just bought a 64GB from eBay-meet 1/2 way tomorrow for handover or wait for RMSD on Saturday. My game plan is to cover it with Apple Care on UK launch & then I'm covered for repair if need be tho' not exchange as far as I know-will have copy of original receipt but I think it would be outside the 14 day exchange period depending perhaps on the mood of a store genius.
Decided it would be best & timesaving to just go for it & I find apple care just great for repairs.
Been so tempted to get one of these off eBay but so far resisted.

A few years ago through eBay I bought an expensive Canon camera-the seller agreed to refund VAT or import dues-made me laugh when it arrived-the customs label said 'Happy Birthday' & referred to forgotten false teeth being enclosed-it worked!

I've lost interest in the iPad for now to be honest. The new OS4.0 appears to have Grand Central Despatch integrated, and references to iChat. A multi-core iPhone with a front facing camera for video conference will do me just fine until Rev B iPad.
I doubt the next iPhone will be multicore, they Sap tomuch battery, add to that multitasking

What's this? I'm on the UK Apple page and there's an iPad tab at the top. There's loads of info about it, and there's a 'Notify Me' button where you can enter your email address. Seems like quite a lot of iPad stuff on the UK site!

unfortunately no. But were all hopeful (becoming despondent) that there will be some kind of update today given the 3 week lead in with the US. Fingers X'd
There are strong rumours that MBPs are getting updated next Tuesday. Perhaps we'll see pre-ordering for the iPad then.
