Meadowhall (or Meadowhell, more appropriatley) Sheffield for me.

I'll probably pre-order for in store collection but get my way down there early doors to pick it up anyway. If there's no pre-orders.. meh, I'm up for the scrum I suppose!

I finally caved and just had a look on eBay.... Some of those prices ARE tempting, aren't they?
I.must.stay.strong. :(

Be strong. Do not give in to the unbelievers. ;) ;) lol

I was in Manchester on Wednesday for the United game and decided to kill a few hours at Trafford Centre. As I left on the bus to get back to the stadium, I saw that Krispy Kreme place.... I think some drool came out and I almost pushed my face through the glass lol

Its a bit away from me, but I regularly travel the 200+ miles round trip on a weekly basis just to get donuts... so if I can get an iPad and a box of donuts to eat while having a play on it I'll be very happy

I was there on Saturday and the guy in there said they will be doing pre-order collection the same as the US. And said we just had to wait on prices and release dates.

Two choices of Krispy Kreme at the Trafford Centre. One is a few doors from Apple in Selfridges. The other is the factory, thru Selfridges and over the road. Next to ASDA. See you in the queue ;-)

I still can't quite believe we are 50+ pages into this thread and none of us are any the wiser about something that is 'supposedly' arriving in 2-3 weeks ?

Been following this thread from the start but it's becoming a little disappointing and frustrating as there hasn't been an " I heard from a friend of a friend who's cousin has a brother/sister that knows someone that works for Apple says that the prices will be x and released on date y" rumour for some time

Those are the tenuous and almost certainly totally fictitious rumours I like to cling to.

If we haven't got any of that type of rumour at the moment can someone please make one up so I can experience a fleeting period of optimism and excitement once again. Followed by the usual crashing disappointment of course.

Maybe I should try Krispy Kreme as an alternative therapy for this thread.

It's ridiculous, isn't it? Fair enough; they didn't follow through on the release promise, but at least keep us updated! I think the international release is probably pretty low on Apples priority list right now. I'd be surprised if Jobs even knew much about it.

Might just join you... Krispy Kreme just outside so donuts and iPad goodness :D

Where were you when I needed this info on Wednesday :D
I can't believe that I missed out on Krispy Kreme, I didn't even know that we have it in the UK (I've only ever experienced it in Canada).

+1

Bring the spurious rumours and ill-founded speculation please. Or post me some doughnuts.

Where are all the London peeps? Is no one going to the Regent's Street store for the launch? I think I'll just go to my local haunt which is 5 minutes away. Situated in a shopping centre it's going to be a mad dash to the store for all the folks waiting outside! :D

lets move on from 'guess the real price'.

Lets play 'what ebay price would get you off the fence'?

I'd like £500 for an 'in the UK' 32GB ipad, but I think I'd go up to £550 delivered, and they're sometimes approaching that, but too often go way over £600.

In some ways the 64GBs are better value

Dude you really have missed a treat then! I am still waiting on them doing a mail order service as my nearest is about 100 miles away but still doesn't stop me going there every week, yum yum!

There a lots of stores in the UK, but Trafford Center has a drive through too very handy if you want to induce a sugar coma at 3am.

The 3GS launch at the Trafford Centre was very good. Friendly and atmospheric. They came out of the Apple store early to show anyone in the queue interested. They followed that up with coffee and biscuits.

The ones from the drive through are the best, fresh and hot. :D Box of twelve, just for me, and a coffee, make that two coffees because 12 donuts drink more than a full cup of coffee.

I must be in the minority as I find the Krispy Kreme doughnuts very underwhelming, so greasy. :(

and way too sweet.

Mr Donuts in Japan has fantastic donuts. If only they'd open a store in the UK....sigh
