My £600 iPad from eBay arrived, and I am surprised that he put an iPad dock and keyboard as well as an apple case gratis in it. I'm going to call him to thank him
£600 for the WiFi one I can get the 64 GB 3G (plus case and wireless keyboard) one for that price
which I think I may do as it is Sim Free after all just I'll be screwed until Orange or O2 get the MicroSim plans sorted

17.5% is huge? apparently there is no other taxes soits worse when you know yours is sitting in uk customs, probs with a huge VAT bill attached to it

Well, O2 or Orange can screw me as hard as they want to but I'm not going to use the cells at the top of the school buildings.
Also, it pays for you to check the packaging before throwing it out, I got a $20 iTunes voucher - though he didn't mention it in the note he wrote
The note on the box says import duty paid - I asked the deliveryman and he said that I don't owe anything - hmm am I missing something here?

I had a friend in LA when it was released but decided to hold out for the UK release. Just makes things easier when dealing with problems in my experience. Although I'm missing the smug points now.
