Lets think about this sensibly. He's selling the 64GB iPad for $700 + $100 shipping. So he's making $1 on the iPad.... plus what did it cost him to bring it into the EU? Plus 3G version WTF? If it sounds too good to be true.

Chris
Alot of people dont know this, but McDonalds employees can get a 21% discount from apple. Im not sure how, but my friend who worked for McDonalds said he got it,
Ive been stalking their website for the last few weeks just to get a part time job for some dicount
Mike
I think im going for the official apple case,
With your situation of having a 16GB iPod touch, i would just go for the 16GB iPad, Probably with 3G.
The apple pre order woks just like ordering any other product really, just they ship it on the date of release,
SO you go on, order your product, pay for it, (money comes out i think just beofre release) then you get it on the day of release.

Nooooo!! You were always one of the stronger and more resolute peeps here! Come on - you can do it!!!
Damn, the way it's going by the time this thing launches here y'all will already have your iPads and I'll have no one to share my excitement with!![]()
Thanks for the reply mate
Do you know how much actual free GB will be on a 16gb ipad
Also with the apple preorder can you pick it up at the store if you preordered it is that the norm ? . If you want it delivered to your door on day of release does it cost more because of the delivery (some guy told my dad apple would deliver it for free but it seems a bit)
Now thats an idea. Get a job with them for a month or so flipping burgers. That will help pay for the iPad and get a nice discount as well. As long as I dont have to eat the damned things!
Here's another date to add to the Apple iPad UK launch rumour mill: 26 April. CNET UK has learned that a major publisher's app team is readying its iPad app for release on that date to coincide with the much-hyped tablet's launch.
Previous rumours suggested Apple Store staff had been told not to take the day off on Saturday 24. We also considered the day before, Friday 23 April, as all versions of the iPhone have launched over here on a Friday. Tuesday has been Apple's traditional launch day for most other products -- signalled with trademark contrariness by the Apple Web site going offline for a hype-inducing couple of hours. 26 April, the day the iPad will arrive, according to our source, is a Monday. Book your day off now.
Well 16GB willl be measured in the number of bytes, it wont be 16GB when formatted, it will be 16000000bytes or whatever,. witch when formatted will be about 15.4 maybe 14.9 GB free, so about 14.5GB free after the firmware is installed, so still plenty of space,
I think you may have to work for them for a year or something to take advantage of the benefits, not sure, but getting a job for o month and reaping the rewards would be excelent!!
Mike
Just some quick googling brought up this
Not sure how legit it is, but Cnet is usually pretty good

I work for Apple trafford center manchester and we have been told earlier today that no member of staff is allowed to have the 28/4 off work. Aparently the 24th was set to mix things up. We havent been told why we can't have that day off, but its fairly obvious.
We are also expected to arrive at work for 7.30 in the morning. again not sharing with us why!

wow that is good!!!!
a chap told me in the apple store they get a once a year 20-25% (i cant remember
then after that they get 15% i think he said.
I couldn't wait any longer, bit the bullet, paid £600 cash for the 32gb model and collected it from an Ebay seller in London. Ultimately after Apple tax, I don't think the 32gb model will be that much cheaper when it comes out in the UK, but more importantly, there's no more waiting.
Worth the 120 mile round trip drive to get it? Definitely. There's no doubt that it's a gratuitous purchase but it's sooo worth it!
