First of all "xROBERTxDAVISx", I know how a forum works - I've been a forum moderator, administrator and user for quite a long time. I do not think you are qualified to tell me to shut up and remain on topic. The power remains with the forum moderators and staff. Secondly, it is their decision what to do with the post, or even award an infraction and/or warning. For your reference, if you look at the metrics and analysis of forums, you will find that that threads often contain approximately 15% non-relevant discussion. If this number were lower, i.e, the thread was strictly on topic, the thread would be very dull. Random-stuff threads never work because they become bloated and complete derail any specific point of the existence of the thread - that is why a forum exists to deliberate completely irrelevant discussions, i.e, Community Discussion in MacRumors' case.
I think you'll find that this thread is the "iPad UK news?" thread, and that even though there is little information available to use presently about it - a lot of people here are discussing pursing the iPad through means such as Bundlebox etc. - not inherently related to news about the UK iPad release. In this case, maybe the thread should be entitled: "How to attain the iPad if you don't like in the US"?
If you wish to police the forums, then be my guest, but at least evaluate the complete situation prior to deciding on action.
