Although it's being sold by Apple sim free etc. I would be very surprised if the networks don't do some sort of incentive deal off their own bat. Similar to what they are doing now offering cheap laptops left right and centre if you take on a mobile internet contract.

I would be very annoyed if they sell the ipad with no notice. Having been bothered to sign up for the 'notify me' then I expect to be notified in advance about the iPads availability. Otherwise it was pointless offering that option.

I hope the price does not get too silly. Sub £400 for the basic and sub £700 for 64Gb with 3g would be 2 prices i'm expecting to see. Prices higher than this will decrease demand for it.

Is it me, or is there a lot more info on the apple website now? I know it did say virtually nothing, then there was some stuff about the apps, but now it seems there is a lot more info and content, tech specs etc...

The notify option exists for one reason only-for apple to collect email addresses for marketing purposes. In the past products have been released only for people to receive no notifcations at all or to recieve them about a week AFTER the product has been released.

A valid point also, but do we not find it somewhat cheeky of Apple that they boast "a magical and revolutionary device at an unbelievable price" and then don't provide any pricing?

I've given that thing my e-mail at least 5 times now!

Yeah, you got that right, and also to stop a million people from constantly
calling them when a product is announced.

Nope, I've noticed all the stuff that's been there for the past week doing my F5 runs

At Product launches people always joke about setting browsers to automatically refresh, how do you do that? Does Safari even do it?

FireFox + Reload plugin :D = win. I think chrome does it -through a plugin.

Sellotape F5 down ?

Classic.

Ok, I forgot to mention that when I sold my iPad yesterday, I sent the Apple case with it - I've grown to absolutely abhor the thing - it keep catching on my fingers and doesn't fold 100% of the way.

I will be following a similar path of making my own one by getting a bubble envelope and wrapping it with duck tape and sticking an apple logo on it. - Finally, I will have used one of the many stickers I've gained over the years.

Ah, OK. I've not been looking too much there on the basis that everyone else would be, but I had not realised there was quite as much detail before.

As you were...

What browser are you using for F5 to refresh? Safari uses ALT (Option) + R

FireFox (on Windows 7)

hehehe..
Hmm, As you were is something I haven't heard or said in a long time. The last time I said it was went I cocked up giving drill orders to a bunch of cadets.

ct2k7 did you get a wifi model then sell it ? , i assume you are gonna get a 3g model now

Yeah I sold it - I probably will get a 3G 32GB (at least) if the price doesn't rape my wallet, since I'm paying for it, not my parents.

Apple Ipad - how to log into USA iTunes?

Guys, we poor Brits, who have yet to experience the joys of the iPad, are going to be really, really disappointed with the UK App and iBook store. Question; are there any practical ways in which a UK / Euro iPad owner can register on the US iTunes store. ? Apologies if this is naughty? C

I obviously haven't been able to keep up with the pace of this thread. Why did you sell it? I looked through your posts, but didn't find an answer.

Yes, we've discussed this before in this thread. You simply need to buy US iTunes vouchers through eBay or other means, then register for a US iTunes account, putting your address as an Apple Store or Hotel or somewhere else nondescript.
