Guys, we poor Brits, who have yet to experience the joys of the iPad, are going to be really, really disappointed with the UK App and iBook store. Question; are there any practical ways in which a UK / Euro iPad owner can register on the US iTunes store. ? Apologies if this is naughty? C

Go back a few pages. The video apps and stuff wouldnt work as they would chec your IP address and realise your not from the US.

It's not naughty (well, it is lol) but there are a gazillion threads on this already. Have a quick scan down through the thread titles, there was a thread on this earlier today.

I obviously haven't been able to keep up with the pace of this thread. Why did you sell it? I looked through your posts, but didn't find an answer.

I think I posted it yesterday. Basically, this non-tech person now has some of my apps and can't login using my own iTunes account - and I ended up selling it for more than £700. (Talk about hasty - he actually said "I will pay you £730 for this awesome computer". I said ok. I didn't think he meant it until he got out his cheque book  I guess he'll have a prick up his backside when he tries to use the App Store.

Ipad US Store

Yes, we've discussed this before in this thread. You simply need to buy US iTunes vouchers through eBay or other means, then register for a US iTunes account, putting your address as an Apple Store or Hotel or somewhere else nondescript.

Many thanks - logical now you say it. And sorry its been addressed before.

Sellotape F5 down ?

Guys guys, let's not go nuts, this is all you need:

But how are you going to hold that in place? I assume it'll be slightly heavy. :D I still thing software refresh is better. At least you can read the text before it goes again :D

Ok, I am iPad-less and wanting one again :/

Ah that makes more sense.

I'm going to drown my sorrows in this piece of suicidal music: Steve Reich's Four Organs - if you love minimalist music, you might like this.

Warning: A 1973 performance of Four Organs at Carnegie Hall in New York City nearly caused a riot, with "yells for the music to stop, mixed with applause to hasten the end of the piece." One of the performers, Michael Tilson Thomas, recalls: "One woman walked down the aisle and repeatedly banged her head on the front of the stage, wailing 'Stop, stop, I confess.'" This music is painful and stressful and I advise you don't listen unless your "song is ending".

On a better note. I am nearly 100% convinced that iPad warranty is international.

Been reading this thread from the start however have yet to post on it.
Have any of you thought about auto-refresh sites which you can set to refresh however often you want?

pagereboot.com is one site that can do this.

That is something I didn't think of - thanks :)

Why are the BBC News and Shazam iPad apps not available in the UK? The BBC would rather give it them first?

lol. This brings back the time when our class had a class detention. We were made to listen to it for the full 25 minutes :(

Rather than F5 or CMD R, you could add the bit of the webpage to the dashboard. Then you could go to the dashboard whenever you want without going to the page. Or pinning the page to the topsites on safari, then when you open a new tab you could see if it has changed if it has a star in the corner.

edit, I've just realised you're all probably talking about this page rather than apple's uk ipad page. Sorry. Serves me right for not reading 80 pages I suppose.....
