Geez I just bought the iPad Air 4 although I do prefer the bigger size of the Air than the mini. Why would anyone choose the Air 4 over the mini now unless it's for the bigger screen?

I have the Air 4 and Im buying the Mini as well. Different uses for me. I use my Air 4 to watch TV, look at magazines and do photo and video work. The Mini will come in handy for web browsing on the toilet and gaming

I'm seriously contemplating returning it because I haven't opened it. The main thing stopping me is the smaller screen size of the mini so it would be a much different experience typing using pages.
Id order the Mini first and see it in person. I found the 5th gen Mini to be a bit too small for watching TV and doing anything more serious than web browsing and gaming. This is a larger display though, so we shall see.
Just ordered Mini coming from iPad Pro 11". Will it be huge downgrade? 11" is a bit too heavy to browse web and read on the bed but mini is perfect.
Me, too! I kinda went whole hog -- purple case (though I hope to get a keyboard case for it when they're out), and engraved pencil. So stoked! I have a 2yo iPad, but it's too heavy, and my hands are too small. I had the very first Mini they released, and I loved it. Was just waiting for the latest upgrade to pull the trigger! Delivers Sept. 24! Now I hope I can convince the spousal unit to allow me to order their new iPhone Pro, so we both get new toys on the same day.

I'm so glad this has the A15, hooray!! Definitely gonna pick this up but I'm not too keen on the colours. It's either gonna be the space grey or the starlight one. I can't properly make out what the starlight one looks like...some sort off off-white?
Definitely gonna go for 256GB, just need to decide the colour and whether or not to include 5G.
Will no longer need my 2020 11" iPad Pro after this.

Can’t wait for mine. Size and weight wise, the height will be slightly shorter, the width remains the same and the weight is slightly lighter. Oh and slightly thicker.
From the pics it looks like it. From the press release photos comparing the colors of the 12 Mini and iPad mini 6 it seems IM6 is a little darker. The 12 Mini had a warm white, reddish tone. So I guess it is something between very warm, brownish white tone and champagne. Maybe more a tint to champagne. I would love champagne, love that color. But as long as it isn't gold...
I think the feature I’m most pleased about is the landscape stereo speakers.
