Ordered July 17: 12.9” 256GB WiFi+cellular.

Showing as “Arrives Aug 18 - Aug 25” right now, for delivery to the US. Will update once I see movement!

My 12.9 inch IPP just hit Alaska. I got an email yesterday that my delivery date will be Friday but on the actual tracking page it shows nothing except to check back for a delivery date.


This whole wait has been crazy. I ordered July 2nd after months of fighting with myself trying to determine if I actually wanted to bite the bullet. I would have ordered else where but I wanted to trade in my 2018 11 inch and get the free airpods from the student store. I know COVID-19 is causing delays but it’s kind of crazy that it’s affecting the chain this much. Tim Cook is a logistics guy and Apples been pretty good about predicting demand so it’s just odd that the wait has been this bad for so many people. I guess he was too busy getting ready for the App Store congress hearings lol.

Ours must be on the same flight. Mine just hit Alaska a few hours ago and shows the Friday delivery date. Apple is showing Thursday. I guess we’ll see which is right in a couple days.

Why is Everyone's IPP that they ordered in the first Week of July on "Preparing to Ship" or "Shipped" except mine. Ordered July 6 at 9:03 PM with the Configuration as Follows:
11"
Space Gray
256GB
WiFi Only
Engraved

I am starting to regret getting it Engraved. *sigh*
I feel like it's too late to change that, already got charged on the 25th.

Huh.. Odd that you've been charged and haven't seen any movement yet. I'd give it until the 31st before getting worried though. I've had mine engraved as well. You're about a week ahead of me, order time-wise, but I guess I'll see if I'm in the same boat come this time next week.

Very Odd indeed. What I think happened is this:

The Scene: Foxconn Factory in Shenzen, China.

July 25th:
They had finally started to Ramp up Production of the iPad Pro, which had been out for over 4 Months. But, what's this?
An Order for a iPad Pro with engraving????
Ah yes, we can Engrave an iPad. No Problem, just take a iPad Pro 11" Space Gray WITH 256 Gigabytes and Chuck it into the Engraving Laser Machine-Apple-Exclusive-technology-5000. But wait?? He got an engraving 11 Characters Long! It's an Odd Number! So let's scratch that Idea, charge him for an iPad that isn't finished and deliver it a week after everyone else. Bada-Bing Bada-Boom. Easy money.

Seems Legit, doesn't it?

Day 6,984: We sit upon a throne of lies, built entirely of useless 2nd Generation Apple Pencils, empty Smartfolios, and wrapped in Elecom and Paperlike screen protectors. "God, this is fun," we mumble, refreshing our order listings on multiple devices at once. Most of us have slipped into morbid alcoholism and lost our jobs from the mental anguish. We're mocked by our dust-laden accessories.

but thank goodness we got free AirPods. I got mine engraved with the cat emoji. That's my comfort in this situation.

I can't handle this. I've literally fallen off my chair. My back hurts now. Not as much as my Sanity, which was Blown to Smithereens when I ordered it all those days ago, and saw that AUGUST 5-12 Delivery Date.

Hi all. Just wanted to commiserate with everyone lol. I ordered on Jul. 22 and already got the Pencil and AirPods. The iPad Pro (12.9", 128 GB, WiFi, Silver) is scheduled for Aug. 21 - 28. o_O

You ordered the pencil from Apple? I ordered on July 10 and mine hasn't shipped yet
