UPS Flight 71's manifest has been scanned....
But the plane hasn't landed yet! UPS 71 is still about an hour out from KSDF. I actually was just listening to live radio transmission of it through liveatc.net
So I think UPS is ramping up and scanning early and things to try to be prepared and get things moving to where they need to in order to be efficient, as UPS81 lands at the same time, except it left later (thats why I know yours was UPS71)

HAHAHA! I am not going to lie, you haven't been the first person to tell me that... but thanks lol. PM me if you have any questions about your package or anything. More than happy to take a few extra minutes to look into it more than I am other ones right now
Can you copy EXACTLY what it says in your status?
Because short of it saying "Arrival Scan" then it may just be the Internal Notification sent by UPS to your local distribution center (if you live near there) and that tells them to hold the shipment until Saturday. Lexington, KY is an hour away from KSDF (I know because I am an Amazon fiend and I get a lot of stuff from there) and UPS never would have something say lexington unless it was an exception or internal notification.
I may be wrong, but that is my experience.

Now, if you notice, it says Spokane, ID... Spokane is in WA. Oh, and it says it's delivering to my place in Post Falls, WA... Post Falls is in ID. Lets just hope they use the zip codes and it shows up on time and in the right place... or else I'm going to freak out like no other.
Oh, and I still have an Exception on my tracking page.

Yes, I agree there may have been an issue (or possibly the actual UPS sort facility is IN the state of Idaho, yet still under the "Spokane" city in their shipping address? And Post Falls looks very close to that border, so maybe its a fluke...
Never the less, UPS sorts by zip code until it reaches the local sort facility. Then they go by your address, and the package when placed on the truck will be assigned 2 color codes and a side that correspond to different things like location in the route itself, in the truck itself, and other factors for delivery.

Anyone with departure scans for Guangzhou or Shenzhen, but nor arrival at PACN Anchorage - UPS23 is currently enroute, has just entered US Reporting Airspace, and will be arriving at 4 AM EST. it has been flying for about 6 hours now
Wait, you can listen to air traffic via internet? I assumed they were illegal to listen to, but apparently they're not? That's cool. I was listening to the KSDF, had no clue what they're saying but it was interesting. Love the radio static effects, just cool.
Dude, you're going to love having both Flightware App and the LiveATC on the iPad, watching the flights coming in and out, aren't you?

I am actually a HUGE aviation enthusiast, as well as a biology / chemistry nut.
I could probably tell you EXACTLY what each thing they are saying means. I could probably do part of their jobs
And yea, its not illegal. It is illegal to BROADCAST on those frequencies unless you are an aircraft. Otherwise, just like police and ems and fire transmissions, by using those same radioshack scanners you can tune to ATC and listen in.

But you can't listen to the liveatc at same time watching the flightaware right or is liveatc using ipod api, or safari mobile?
Internal Activity = the cleared Hold request from Apple to hold for delivery at the local facility.
It didn't show up until now because your package had to clear customs (the brokerage and hold statuses you probably saw earlier). After clearing customs is the only time a shipper can place a delivery hold on a package.
As well, your package may update sometime tonight with an arrival scan to KSDF, Louisville - seeing as a departure scan from PANC was recorded. I am to tired to relate the times, but I think it is on one of the flights going out right now. Otherwise there is another going out at 3 AM EST and gets to KSDF in about 9 hours at 9 AM EST.
What I meant was, even though this has nothing to do with the thread, is that I spent over 50 bucks the other day buying all of the apps they showed on the keynote, and on the website, thinking the iPad updates are going to be free. They're not, they're twice the price. And you have to buy them. Unless you're using the iPhone version. So I regret buying it. Although I can show it off. ;P
Sadly, no I don't believe so.
However what I can do is have the audio on my iPhone and then use my iPad for flightaware and all of my tracking apps (packagetrackr.com, boxoh.com, iship.com, packagemapping.com, junecloud) hehehe
Its like a mobile shipping/tracking platform too!

I know man. And when Blu-Ray came out they actually made me buy them all again even though I already had the DVD's. How unfair! NOT.
