Are all printed times local? If so, couldn't our 1:01PM arrival scanned iPads have made it aboard UPS71 with its departure time of 3:36AST? Or am I just severely confused with the timezones?

UPS71 and UPS81 have arrived at KSDF. Both at around 1:25 AM (EST - local time in KSDF)

If it shows departed PANC Anchroage yet does not show these times, it may have taken UPS2997, departing at 3:37AM EST (11:37 PM PANC Time) and arriving 9:30 AM EST.
remember the UPS system takes a while to update, so don't expect a status the second after they land.

SHIPPED!! I guess constanly clicking refresh on your Apple.com order status really does make a difference. AND YES!! MY ORDER IS EXPECTED TO DELIVER ON SATURDAY!

I think it's time that I gave up this chase for the night. That exception hold at the local facility is going to make all of this very academic anyway - until Saturday morning.
No you are right - however it is how fast UPS is processing them - they may not have made it on that flight. Like your 6:50 departure scan? That falls PAST the 3:30 PM departure time of the earlier flights, but BEFORE the 11:30 departure time of the later flight. In other words, they might have processed that pallet early and prepared it for that 11 AM ASDT flight

Hahaha. I was fortunate that my mom wanted one, so the WiFi is hers and I have my 3G coming later. So I get 4 presents!:

2&3 - 2 exciting tracking periods for when the iPads ship
4 - 1 3G iPad when it comes AND I will be experienced in using it

I have a sister who works in the midwest as a iPod and now iPhone technical support agent. She said that she is surprised how many people at launch of the 3GS still didnt know certain functions of their phone. She said she got her breaks, but they were way too short (in perception) xD
Finally got my Tracking #, ordered on March 26 was prepared for shipping on Monday and it shipped Tuesday. I have been keeping myself busy the last few hours converting my pdf files to epub since iBook app won't take them and I'm also adding the book covers. I have over 300 books (collected over time) I want to be ready for when my ipad gets here on Saturday, just want to plug and play. Extremely Excited!!
Just got the status update. Totally confused now. Does this mean my iPad is on the UPS2997?
Mine shows "Exception" as the current status, and "UPS INTERNAL ACTIVITY" in my city as its current location.
So my guess is that it's sitting in a pile of iPads at the UPS terminal, and they're being told to by no means deliver yet.
Oddly, I don't have an estimated/scheduled delivery date. Just "exception".

Some info hasn't been given yet. And with an exception, until it has been cleared, a delivery date will NOT be provided.
And your iPad should be travelling through Anchorage and ultimately to KSDF Louisville, KY. Once there, it should shed the earlier messages of "brokerage and hold" and then move on to your local facility, where it will THEN be held until Saturday. That is why that notice goes to your local facility and starts at 9 AM - the start of business tomorrow, when they will actually receive and process it.

That's what I'm trying to figure out too. If so, it's still sitting there in PANC until 11:34pm AKDT, putting it into KSDF at 9:14am EDT. Guess if an arrival scan shows up between now and then, we'll know.

Got my confirmation email two hours ago. I ordered 45 minutes after the online store first opened for orders.
waa...why haven't I gotten a tracking number yet I ordered mine within a few minutes if opening. I hope my debit card being declined didn't delay it. I fixed the problem immediately, and Apple charged me for it...so it shouldn't.
