iPad shipped, Apple just sent out tracking numbers!

Apple says one thing but UPS says something else.

yup mine shipped this morning but held up in China...
here what Apple says:
Okay apparently Apple is telling me that they just found out about this and UPS is missing important paperwork to release these items for shipment. A majority of people that preordered and got shipping info this morning are seeing this message and its not a big deal...its just a matter of Apple providing the proper paperwork to UPS...they are in process of taking care of this now. They still forsee these to be delivered by April 3rd.
My 64gb WiFi only has shipped as well. Pre-ordered the 4 minutes after they opened pre-orders. I'm in Kansas City. Mine's got the origin scan in China...
Folks, please post the size you ordered, when you ordered, and your location. Thanks.
My 64GB has shipped. I ordered it at 5:38am on the first day of preorders and is shipping to California.
Realize that your iPad can easily get from China to your door in less than 2 days. There is still no hurry.

I just called UPS and nobody can tell me if my area offers saturday delivery... Is there an easy way to determine this?
Ordered on launch day, March 12th around 10PM EST. Shipping iPad to Washington DC. Received an email notification from Apple on Monday, March 29th @ 6:20 AM with my UPS tracking number. iPad has been scanned in Shenzhen, China with a local time of March 29th @ 10:33 AM.
Hopefully, it will be delivered early, though I highly doubt it.

A few notes to those not shipped yet: In time With the estimated # of pre-orders, I would imagine it would take quite a while to getting them all scanned in and on the plane. I would expect sometime today that nearly everyone who pre-ordered to get a tracking number. If nothing by tomorrow, I would start to get a little nervous... Exciting! Can't wait for Saturday!

In speaking with a contact of mine that I have at Apple, they have not officially released any of these to UPS to ship but rather scanned them and are holding so they actually deliver on April 3rd. They in fact will get them out in time to deliver on the 3rd, but UPS has not actually gotten these items in hand yet. Makes perfect sense since they dont want anyone getting this earlier than the 3rd.
Good point - Just because a tracking number has been given does not mean the product is in UPS's hands.
If that was the case it wouldn't have the orgin scan. That doesn't happen until it does more than get a computer generated label and into UPS hands.
I'm of course basing this on my years of stalking shipping tracking! LOL!!
Not sure then. I am only going off of what Apple is telling me. According to them this has not actually been released...that could mean UPS has it but they instructed them not to ship yet...
