iPad shipped, Apple just sent out tracking numbers!

Trust me that is an error too - for no reason would they send it back - if that was the case they wouldn't have time to get it to you on Saturday.

Thanks my wife and I are freaking out! lol

I had it shipped to my place of work in Lexington, but normally the local UPS holds packages on Saturdays for Monday because they assume no one is working at the office. My group is actually working and I managed to find a random local phone number at the UPS facility in Lexington, so I called them and told them NOT to do their normal thing on holding Saturday packages and to come pay me a visit at the back dock of the facility tomorrow. It seemed like the girl put a note on my tracking number to come out, so I hope they are not typically lazy and ignore the note (as they have in the past for other requests).

According to packagetrackr.com it would appear that it's on a truck or something with wheels. Is that accurate?

My has been sitting in KY since the 31st but since I'm only a couple hours away guess I won't be having any movement until tonight.

No one's received them yet that weren't supposed to...There are no REAL unboxing videos

just to let you guys know because i have this status and i have seen other people posting this status...the guy with the map on the iphone has a :) after the picture...

i spoke to a UPS rep on the phone and they told me this status DOES NOT
mean the package is in KY. So for me the last location scan there is still

i hope she is wrong because that means my package has been off the radar for over 15 hours and i wonder where the hell it is...it had better be in at least Alaska.
 
Still sitting at Korea, but hey Apple just notified me they shipped out my iPad case through FedEx, maybe it will beat my iPad here..

Should I be worried or wait for tomorrow?

This is what my tracking shows and while I am happy it shows in transit for delivery, nothing has changed since 3/31. :confused:

No it isn't haha that is misleading - it just is an icon that indicates the ultimate location haha.

Try tracking with iship.com and clicking on trackit in the lower right. There isn't a map but it is a lot more detailed. :D

trust me - it is far awy from Korea haha. That was just an update that the plane stopped there. It actually is on it's way to KY right now - that plane already stopped in AK. Trust me it's on it way :)

Haha the plane it was on already left Alaska - it is half way to KY right now. And she was right - it only says KY because it was handled by their headquarters.
 
You just have to laugh...

JUST received shipment notification for my iPad dock that I ordered the same time as my iPad. It is shipping, from China, via FedEx. FedEx has Saturday delivery. Hey, getting the dock is quick and easy, and will show up on time! iPad via UPS... not so much. :):):):):)

I'd say UPS has the tougher job dealing with enormous shipments of the iPad whereas maybe Fed-Ex just has to deal with the docking station and accessories.. which would be far less in quantity than the iPads.

wait techdude16 so what do you think happened to the alaska scan?

do you think the shipment just did not get scanned there but i will see a scan in KY when it arrives later today...cause im worried my package is still somewhere in Korea.

I'm going to do that as well. I think if I stay home tomorrow and wait for it, I'll kick myself after about 30 minutes of playing with it--once the OH MY GOD phase wears off.

I like that idea, but I'm usually on the river by 8 AM. I just had an idea, maybe I'll just keep checking the tracking information from my phone and head home once it says delivered! :D

This place really is a support group for Apple-crack addicts.

TRUST ME- they didn't leave it in korea haha. They have NO reason to drop it there.

The UPS flight went to Korea, got manifest Scanned and then continued to Alaska. I think the reason it didn't get scanned was because they never actually removed the packages for anything. So they took off and are continUing on to Louisville right now - they are about an hour out.
