I just heard this as well from UPS when I called. The woman I spoke to didn't know much about the iPad or any special arrangements with Apple, just that an exception hadn't been put on it. I called Apple and they said there was no delay noted on my order, which indicates it should still be there on Saturday. Given the poor updating status on UPS' site, I wouldn't trust anything they tell you over the phone until tomorrow morning, when they'll know for sure whether it's on a truck or not.

The ultimate question you have to ask yourself is "can I wait until Monday to get my iPad??"

I JUST spoke to UPS...3 times today. And EACH rep provided me with the same April 5th delivery date. They also said that I cant pick up BEFORE at least one delivery attempt has been made. So that means, if it doesnt get here on the 5th, then I'd have to wait or try to coordinate with UPS to get it. I have no reason to lie.
Well, that Status has held for about 18 hours. Since it's a local time stamp, and China is 24 hours ahead of us, I'm believing my iPad is on its way into the states.
I should be on UPS21 according to my recent tracking.

I bet UPS is bombarded with server failures because of the iPad people who are constantly refreshing. LOL. That includes me.
I'm not suggesting your lying, I'm suggesting that this is a highly unusual shipping situation. Maybe you won't get it tomorrow, but I wouldn't quite go around being mad just yet.
UPS 43 is a half hour outside Louisville from AK, all those with South Korean scans should expect a Louisville update here in the next few hours, then off to the regional hubs this afternoon/ this evening for delivery tomorrow (I'd expect)

I think that we will have to wait and see what happens tomorrow. Perhaps a new thread should be started that shows:

not mad, just can't believe the lack of communication between apple and UPS. UPS isn't a great company to begin with as far as shipping goes and accurate updating on tracking info. but hey. such is life
Semi/train/plane
Depends on where it's going from KY, since I'm in MA I would assume a plane to either Boston or Hartford, then either a direct dispatch from boston, or a semi to my local hub.
I thought I heard earlier this week that the iPad deliveries may be later than normal saturday (meaning deliveries may go until 5:00pm, instead of the general noon that most saturday deliveries finish)
REALIZE THEY ARE SAYING BY MONDAY!
And also realize that INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS RARELY HAVE ACCURATE DELIVERY DATES UNTIL THEY CLEAR CUSTOMS AND REACH KY!! I have had that happen many times before.
And I called just to see exactly what they are saying to us:
He said "From Apple" immediately.
He said "And you want to know when you will get it?"
then he said "Let me look into the tracking and the packages notes that apple put on it..."
then he said it will be delivered BY Monday, but it may come earlier.
So I think people are blowing this a little out of preportion.
I am going to say right here and now that I am done posting on this thread
I was afraid people would go nuts and this is exactly what happened. I will still answer coherent questions and concerns or PMs sent to me, but icant keep explaining the same thing over and over again with different wording.
