iPad shipped, Apple just sent out tracking numbers!

Heck, I think the mood will lighten immediately on the next round of shipping updates.

If anything, I think I'll just completely ignore that tracking information next time.

Mine's the same, my tracking from UPS says:

As far as I can tell from what people are saying, is that with World Ease shipping it's possible not every package will be scanned at every location, and we may not get acurate updates until they get to the local hubs.

Half the fun of the iPad is just waiting for it and tracking it! What are all going to do when they arrive?
 
Someone yesterday said Apple sent them an email saying they would not receive until Monday. SO, if they are doing that, it probably means that if you do NOT receive one of these emails, you're still on schedule for Saturday.

This is all the info my tracking number is showing/has shown since I started tracking it.

Honestly, I'm just an info addict. If the tracking was all static and logical, I think most of wouldn't be here. But the tracking, and the UPS phone calls, all seem very erratic and subject to constant change and confusion. So the thread keeps getting bumped. So we keep clicking. And posting. And trying to make sense of what we're being told. :)

I'm gonna download apps like crazy!!! :D But there's no Facebook for iPad app, I want that "via Facebook for iPad" thing. LOL!! Sorry to go off-topic. LOL.
 
So what's the difference between flights UPS 21 and 43?

If TechDude is gone some of you others are gonna have to step up. :)

I find myself being drawn back to this thread even though my iPad has been listed as sitting in Louisville for a couple days now. Why? I've read all the reviews (and they're getting a bit repetitive at this point), can pretty much recite a typical set of comments any given article on the iPad will get, and am just sitting around eagerly awaiting mine to arrive tomorrow.

Reading this thread is comforting because it is sort of like 'hanging out' with a bunch of like-minded people, almost all of whom are due to get their iPads either tomorrow or Monday and like me are so excited about it. Rather than talking to people who look at me like I'm a bit funny when I mention the iPad, it's nice to be here and feel almost "normal"!
 
I just got the tracking info for my Dock to VGA connector...shipped via FedEx today, estimated delivery is tomorrow.
 
Apparently those reports of security at UPS hubs are correct. Spoke with a rep at the Maspeth, NY hub and she confirmed that they have special security there just for the iPads. They also laid on a lot more drivers from other areas to handle the volume and they would start leaving around 8am tomorrow.

And, folks, relax. No matter what your tracking info says now almost all of you will get your iPad tomorrow. Really.
