The problem with WorldEase and WorldShip operations is that they scan them uising large manifests vs. each single package. So sometimes the manifest does not always get scanned or the entire manifest's single packages doesnt get updated.

Basically the packages won't get individually scanned and updated until the pallets get broken down after they are in KY. So we will just have to wait and see - but trust me that Air Transit means your packages were NEVER left or dropped of in Korea :)

okay but techdude16 i dont see how my package isnt in KY yet thats the whole thing. so if youre saying it should get updated once in KY, why has it yet to be updated....the air transit update came like last night at 830 PM EST...thats a very long time ago. im just worried i wont get it tomrorow thats all

Sorry! I was on my phone and I probably didn't see your post....

But thanks philly, that is the flight you should look forward to :)

That flight landed hours ago. I'm talking about a flight leaving fro KT to LA later tonight. Did I do something wrong?

why oh why would it go to alaska and then kentucky.. they should have just flown south to seattle and dropped it off

LOUISVILLE, KY is the Worldport. That's why all the planes are going there first. The place expands over 8 football fields and they're still expanding. That's where all the sorting happens because they can handle sorting hundreds of thousands of packages per hour.

Here's a link

UPS Worldport

Mine just went from "Shipping Information Received" (where it's been parked since Tuesday), to "In Transit" on the UPS site, and Louisville on iShip. I have a feeling plenty of others will show up now as well. I hope this means we can actually track them the rest of the way...

Well, I live in Des Moines, IA and my usual UPS flight to and fro KY is UPS504 and according to its recent flight log my plane landed this morning as well and no future flights planned from KSDF (KY)... However special arrangements have been made for Saturday delivery according to Apple so who knows! I'm not too worried.. For all I know, it could have been on that flight this morning..
I don't think so. Unless it left SDF this morning. That flight went at 4am today and it doesn't look like it flies Saturday AM.

Could be there but just not scanned yet. Sitting on palettes on the tarmac or something. It sounds like most of the 250,000+ pre-ordered iPads, plus many of the "for pickup" iPads (which could be hundreds of thousands more), plus those allotted for sale at various stores, are all going through Louisville, most of them today. So that's a lot of scanning to be done.

I think we should get Obama on the horn because I think the Koreans jacked our iPads :)

My coworker was messing with me saying that they won't get it here by tomorrow but I'm not worried.

There's flight UPS908 to KONT, or UPS914 to KBUR, depending on where it's heading after arriving in the LA area. Those are the two destinations I know about (KONT being the largest), but there might be another.

Anyway, both leave 0400ish EDT and arrive 0500ish PDT.

I just looked at both of those and the one to LA seems current, but the one to Ontario has a 3/27/2010 date. Did they just decide to ship everything to Burbank, maybe?

3/27 is just the last date listed for a Saturday scheduled flight. It looks like the schedule's a bit different Saturday vs. M-F.

Flight Information

My shipment shows In Transit from WorldPort to Seattle. Does anyone know the flight information?

I haven't seen anyone in this situation say anything for a while:

4/2/2010 9:32:00 AM AIR TRANSIT SCAN INCHEON, KR

Surely I'm not alone in having dropped off the map after Korea?
Right there with you but relaxed and knowing it will show up tomorrow! :)

Well good news for the Erie, PA area. Just got a delivery from Amazon and asked if she may have heard anything about the iPad and Saturday delivery. She said we just had a meeting on that this morning and then she got on her cell ph and called in and inquired when will the iPads get delivered? Her office told her definitely tomorrow.

IM shocked! Been living here for 11 years and Never got a UPS Saturday delivery except one time for Christmas rush.

I'll still believe it when I see it but Jobs/Apple sure has got the juice.

Good luck to All everywhere! ;)

Mine seems to be in Korea now!

its not...

The plane travelled TO Korea, and then took off our packages never actually "stepped foot" so to speak, in Korea. They were just "Air Transit" scanned there because their flight made a stopover there. The flight is now in KY and you should see updates soon.
