Just called and the system told me that my order is still being prepared
Mine said that, but then gave me an option to get the tracking number!?
The automated system gave you the tracking number?
I think it depends on the status of our orders in the Best Buy app/online. Mine both still say “arriving tomorrow”. What does yours say? Preparing for shipment?
The automated best buy 888 number literally said the same thing as the best buy website. "Arriving tomorrow". NO ONE has a status of preparing for shipment. At the end of that statement, the automated line gave a couple more options, one if which being "tracking information". Press that option and it gave me a tracking number.
I ended up with a 9/27-10/1 date with a preorder on the Apple website and was resigned to it. I decided to check Best Buy today on a whim and they have in store pick up tomorrow so I went ahead and ordered there. I will cancel my Apple order as soon as the phone is in my hands tomorrow.
Except for those of us that do have a status of "preparing"..

Good call. I was checking on the Best Buy app, and it said "arriving tomorrow" but it says "preparing" on Chrome on desktop. Still no tracking from the automated system.
Same with me. The app says preparing, the website says arriving tomorrow. Hopefully everyone gets their phones tomorrow, I just don't see how the shipped ones arrive without being sent out yet the day before.
I’ve ordered lots of stuff from BB and it is not uncommon for me to receive shipping notice THE DAY IT IS SUPPOSED TO ARRIVE. Having said that, I will be shocked if it shows tomorrow.
2 Key words missing "for Shipment"... Mine says Preparing on the mobile app as well. On the browser it says "Arriving Tomorrow". Point is for people to stop freaking out.
Best Buy chat just told me my package has been handed off to the carrier (UPS), which is where the tracking number comes from. It has not been updated in the UPS system yet however. These are shipped from the nearest wharehouse, not sure if this is a distribution center or Best Buy store, for overnight delivery. I'm guessing we will all start to see the tracking info show up this afternoon/night for deliver tomorrow.

Question if you have a pre order for in store pick up could you just show up to the store early tomorrow and get a phone? Or will they make you wait until your pre order status shows ready for pick up?
I would like to know this as well. I just assumed I could pick up on the 20th like my order shows
. I was told as well that my phone will be there. I'm picking it up traveling thru so I'm hoping I can.
The Best Buy FAQ says that you should wait until you get the ready for pickup email, but other users have reported that they've done well just walking in as soon as the store opens.
Yeah, I was pissed when sprint try to get more money from me, it wasn't like I was getting more GB space, I was getting the Pro Max and the same amount of GB as my current device, the Pro Max is the same price as last years Max phone, so it didn't make sense to me then I read on the Sprint Facebook page how they kept telling everyone different reasons as to why they were getting charged, first was building credit ( I've been with them for 10 years) next was to help lower the cost of the phone by taking $5 a month off of the 45.84 lease cost. I'm thinking well the lease flex is for 18 months, 5 x 18 months is $90, but you don't keep the phone the 18 months cause in 12 months the new Iphone comes out, so that means only $60 dollars of the $100 you paid will be applied, they will keep the rest and I"m sure next year they will ask for that deposit again, who knows might be more. So i went to Apple.com and tried to order my phone through there, same thing, asking for $104, so I went to Best Buy and they did'n't ask for anything, just my phone number, zip code, carrier and if i was returning my phone for the lease flex. Didn't have to pay the deposit, shipping or taxes. And my status for both phones i order is "Arriving Tomorrow" and a box underneath that with yellow borders states "Make sure someone over 18 is home to sign". So I lucked out!

So, I just got my tracking info for the Pro Max 256GB Verizon that I bought after my Pro 256 Verizon. It's shipping via fedex from Long Island, NY (I live in Upstate NY)
It hasn't been handed off to Fedex yet, but this gives hope, for this phone at least.
