15 pro max 5x telephoto is much better than Samsung s23 Ultra 10x telephoto

1/3.2 sensor 1.12 pixel size 15.5 mm2 f2.8

Samsung s23 Ultra 10x telephoto

1/3.52 sensor 1.12 pixel size 12.1 mm2 f4.9

1.375 more stops of light with a larger sensor and aperture.
I am not saying you are wrong cause I don't know that you are, but that is a bold statement. If I try and take a picture of a full moon, I basically get a yellowish dot. My friend's S23 Ultra shows actual features of the moon. Are you saying the max will do better?

E-sim and no physical sim tray for US buyers. Japanese Both e-sim and sim tray we have that option for the 15 pro series again as we did with the 14 series pro

don't forget you can use lighting accessories with adaptor L-USB-C

Samsung adds in a fake high detail moon when it thinks the moon is in the photo.

This year's upgrades seems like a computational tricks sellable to Gen Z - shift the focus after the fact (i think we had this concept before with cube camera forgot the name), stack 2 photos or cut in half 48mp to get that native 24MP jpg/heic.

It is not worth to upgrade, however it is a great phone for first timers or someone with really old one. But RAW wise it will not change much anything cause doing Nomo + Lightroom we are eliminating all the computational variables.
yes I agree. I’d rather keep 48mp all the time. So with that said, here is my beastcage for iPhone 14 pro equipped with the Beastgrip 1.7x telephoto. Yeah that’s my 2.5W blue laser. Pretty cool!

subject lit with my 8x10 LED light panel I bought from Amazon

photos taken with the iPhone 14 pro max, NOMO RAW, Lightroom mobile edit.

I have the S23U and the moon detail is software generated. However, 10X optical zoom beats 5X optical zoom all day every day and twice on Sundays.
Yeah but it’s only 10mp 😂

if you don’t shoot in raw, the photos are just basic snapshots

I think people are underestimating how much of an upgrade this is. The phone is going to be way lighter and more comfortable to hold. The camera (pm) is now top of the line. Im super excited about this upgrade
and the battery life? and battery degradation?

my 14 Pro cannot focus on the moon. At all.
My wife’s 13 Pro actually does have features of the moon.
It’s hard to explain how this is so.

13 Pro here and I didn‘t see anything today that makes me want to upgrade… there was no must have features in my book at least… lots of nice to haves which coupled with the 13 Pro which is a pretty solid phone anyway… well where does that leave you… Also the colours are so dull… maybe wait for the six monthly refresh and see if they release a more interesting colour…

iPhone 15 Pro crushes the 14 Pro in significant ways:
  • Lighter: Yes. It's about time.
  • Camera: Really introduces features that matter. Smart portrait mode. 120mm zoom mode. 24 mpix high-res standard photos. 48 is too big for many applications. Improved stabilization. This is a camera upgrade that matters, and it makes this new phone worth getting.
  • Action button looks really useful. One-click access to the camera? Yeah.
  • Rounded edges. So Apple listened to--or heard--the complaints about how uncomfortable these flat-edged, heavy phones are/were. About time.
There's more. But the 15 Pro is on my buy list. What were your takeaways?

Complete hyperbole. Sorry.

This is the most lackluster upgrade in memory. I have the 14 Pro Max and I'll hold on to it until the 16 Pro Max/Ultra

Last I heard Samsung uses AI to overlay stock moon images over the photo your phone took.
