People are gonna upgrade just for the status symbol to say they have the best iPhone.
Ultra certainly is better than Pro Max. However I felt they were saving Ultra to use for the future folding iPhone.
This Ultra better has 8 Gigs of RAM and beyond stellar battery lifetime.
More product line confusion. Stevo would not have approved. If the difference is a slightly better camera and a larger screen I just want a Pro Max. And what’s the advantage of a pro max at that point? It’s going to cannibalize Ultra sales.

Ultra will be same specs and all than a pro max, just the price will be ultra with 1000$ extra…

At the to be expected price hike I think I’d rather try a fold device in Fall 2024. Nothing wrong with iPhone or iOS but I am just bored 😅 I want to try something else to experience something new to play around with. the iPhone is too expensive to go back spending another 1,5k to have the same experience.

Big Whup what Apple names the new top-of-the-line iPhone. Really! The bottom line it will break records for being the most expensive iPhone yet and the die hards will all scramble like rats jumping off a burning ship to order it as soon as the official site allows.

yeah but the main alternative is spy/data hungry google (or "smoogle" as I like to call em, because like Smeagle they have a "precious" and that's personal data SMH....bunch of nosey weirdos).
...so not only are you giving Smoogle access to YOUR info and YOU are the product, but also the people you interact with, your close friends and relatives SMH
how could any one possibly be bored with a gorgeous UI and very consistent digital interaction, plus iMessages, encryption etc....maybe you should get some pets or plant a garden or something....volunteer etc.
The Mac line is already a confusing mess. The iPhone line doesn't need to follow it down the same rabbit hole. There's enough. We don't need more premium than premium than premium...
I'd bet heavily that the Ultra is in addition to the Pro Max, not instead of it.

How’s about the iPhone slab. Well man I had an ultra but then the slab came along and look at it. It’s huge. It just crushed it.
Alternatively, the zenith, ultimate, poseur, unnescessary, cash cow and finally the least bang for your buck as nothing actually changed from year to year bar a change to usb c from lightning (the last one being a bit long I’ll admit).
I rather think the third one will be a speed limited for the 15 and 15 plus.
They already have that anyway. Basically any App on the AppStore has Google Firebase, Amplitude, Yandex, or Open Graph Analytics SDKs built in.
And I do have 2 turtles, a dog, a fish tank and a lot of gay plants 😉
So what's the Ultra going to do that the Pro Max can't? If the only differences were that it was thicker to contain double the battery, and more durable, that would be interesting for some people.
