You are Tim Cook and I claim my $10Ultra, that name alone is worth an extra $100 increase.

Speaking of which, why hasn't anyone made a wireless charging mouse with a very low frequency charging mouse pad. seems like a no brainer. Mouse will always be charged.Apple's really going to start slapping the Ultra name on a bunch of products now, aren't they?
On one hand, it sounds silly, but on the other hand, I can't wait for the Magic Mouse Ultra, a mouse where you don't have to flip it upside down to charge it.![]()
I wouldn't even care about that if it didn't REPLACE the Max. I guess there is the Plue now for a bigger screen, but isn't Ultra even bigger? Need as big of a screen as possible anymore. As long as that doesn't come with an Ultra price tag..
I just want Ultra as in resists screen throttling in the sun. 4T nits are useless when it dims to unreadable after 0.00000000001s in the sunThe only only thing “ultra” will be the price because the features will be just marketing, like a titanium frame (does your phone suffer from bends contantly?, will you be throwing and dropping your phone all the time (
the screen needs to be “ultra”, not the already perfectly fine frame!), a 6x lens is still BELOW what other phone vendors offer since several years ago. So the “ultra” is just a pretty name, but not ultra AT ALL by todays standards. Bring innovation, not just names!
How much different do you use your ultra watch compared to the “simple mortal” watch version?. I just find the larger screen relevant due to my 40+ years old sight.
Get off your knees.More product line confusion. Stevo would not have approved. If the difference is a slightly better camera and a larger screen I just want a Pro Max. And what’s the advantage of a pro max at that point? It’s going to cannibalize Ultra sales.
I’ll wait for WiFi7 in the iPhone 16 Pro Max, Ultra, Super Dooper or whatever they call it.
Apple's upcoming high-end 6.7-inch iPhone 15 model may be called the "iPhone 15 Ultra" after all, replacing the "Pro Max" title, a new rumor claims.
![]()
In a September 2022 edition of his weekly "Power On" newsletter, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman said there was "potential" for an iPhone 15 Ultra to replace the iPhone 15 Pro Max this year. While the name change was prevalent in several rumors from influential sources like Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo in late 2022 and early 2023, the idea has since faded and emphasis has shifted to Apple releasing such a model as a new high-end device next year instead. Now, AppleInsider's Andrew O'Hara claims that the "iPhone 15 Ultra" name is back:
O'Hara does not have much of a track record for Apple rumors, but he did share accurate renders of the second-generation AirPods Pro before they launched last year. With its larger display, longer battery life, and periscope telephoto camera with 6x optical zoom, the top-tier iPhone could justify the "Ultra" moniker.
Apple's naming choices are subject to change throughout a product's development process, often explaining why new devices are titled differently to what rumors have come to suggest. For example, the AirPods Max were largely expected to be called the "AirPods Studio." Most recently, visionOS was widely expected to be called "xrOS." The rumored name was found littered throughout Apple's materials following WWDC, indicating that visionOS was a last-minute switch. Whether Apple will change the name of its "Pro Max" model this year is unknown, but the idea was likely under consideration at minimum and could still be on the table.

iPhone 15 Max Power
Though that sounds more like something you’d see on a hairdryer…![]()
shure - trust me ;-) 🤣Will it still work?
Does this clarify the lineup or not?
iPhone 15 Mini (just kidding)
iPhone 15
iPhone 15 Plus
iPhone 15 Pro
iPhone 15 Ultra
I guess the “Pro” name did pair the two better. Plus also makes little sense as this screen size was supposed to be Max.
Whatever, doesn’t really matter anyway. I’m not the one who has to explain this to the average consumer in store.
Ultra Mini isn’t happening because it doesn’t have the space for the cameras. But this might increase the odds of a pro mini in the future. If the regular sized pro is not going to try to keep up with the Ultra’s features, perhaps the Pro’s hardware could be packaged in a mini enclosure.
2 bad for Apple because im one of the consumers not buying another iphone, anymore. I am waiting for the transition to android when the Galaxy s24 Ultra comes out.Given a price hike seems a touch more likely this year, kinda makes sense.
I would advise to experiment with a cheaper used Android phone alongside iPhone before buying the top of the line model. Quality in the Android OS unfortunately still is not there and the ecosystem is a mess compared to iOS.2 bad for Apple because im one of the consumers not buying another iphone, anymore. They've already done that though with the iPhone 12 Pro Max, which had sensor-shift stabilization and a 2.5× optical zoom telephoto lens compared to the Pro's 2×. Unless both of those don't fall under "significant."That and significant camera features that differ from the regular Pro model. It just has to have another name.
