iPhone 3.0 Users; Enable Tethering in 1 Minute! NO MMS!

Didn't work for me. Downloaded and installed 3.0, went to the site, downloaded the config file, restarted iphone. Nothing new except a profile, no tethering option anywhere.

Same for me. I had the 3.0 GM installed and I cannot get the tethering option to show up. I do have the profile showing up though.
 
iPhone 3G, OS 3.0, never jailbroken, always updated via iTunes, went to the site listed on first post, followed instructions, have new profile but no tether options.

3.0 on 3G phone. Did the profile update, and no tethering option.

Has anyone who downloaded the official release 3.0 gotten this to work?
 
Works for me. Downloaded the U.S. AT&T file and the profile and tethering showed up.

Little trick though- turn on the tethering, plug in your iPhone, then tethering will work. Do not leave the tethering page either because then the option will go away. I think it is a security measure in 3.0. So make sure when you're done tethering you turn off the feature, unplug the phone, then close the settings menu. It's worked perfectly for me. I'm testing it as we speak on my laptop.:)
 
I wonder why this is working for some but not for others? I was able to install the profile successfully as well but there is certainly no option for tethering.

i don't even get the tethering option. It said the profile installed correctly but no option :(
 
By the looks of things, anyone would did this update last night (like myself) is having tethering work. Maybe somehow, someway, AT&T/Apple figured out about this and has stopped supporting that Profile from running on AT&T unless you already had it installed?

Just a hunch.
 
Reading this thread, it sounds like everyone who it doesn't work for installed it recently. Is it possible something happened recently to block this?
 
I am in the same boat as everyone else. No option for tethering. Im guessing ATT and Apple found a way to prevent us from free tethering.
