OK, re-synced my iPod touch 2nd gen with iTunes and the Music app did an updating of the library and works now. Time to upgrade my 3GS.
True, but they could have put it in the GM release. That was released the day the 3GS was announced. Maybe they didn't have enough time or some other reason.

MMS still working
I can confirm that MMS is still working on OS 3.1. It seems to send much faster than it did on OS3.0. I have a jailbroken 3G and locked, but MMS enabled 3Gs, and have been playing around with both. I have not upgraded the 3G and notice a significant lag in sending MMS as compared to the 3Gs.
Start up and shut down is greatly improved on the OS3.1 also. I know it sounds silly, but the OS 3.1 feels snappeir too in comparison to the 3G. Will report more after a bit more paying around.
BTW, I am updating my 2g iPod touch also so will report anything there too.

No, actually my phone isnt on silent mode, and it still vibrates when the apps start to wiggle. Is that what you meant silent mode?
Is your phone on ringer but vibrate when rings?
Edit: nevermind your right it works no matter what...prtty cool...just incase u are tocuhing the screen on accident...
3G or 3GS?
If people notice speed differences or something that would be different between the different versions of iphone, please post what version you are using.
Pulled out my 1st gen iphone to compare color... and... the color is still warmer. But mine was never very "yellow".
Damn, that is my biggest complain with 3.0 on the 3GS.
If you're in the iphone developer program, report this as a bug to apple, bugreporter.apple.com -- they need to hear from lots of folks, maybe the priority for a fix can get moved up

If they do know about this problem, they just found out about it and it will take a while for them to do anything about it.
It took over three months for them to fix the screen problems on the iPod Touch through a firmware update.
I did that a couple months back and I'm on a regular plan now. I had MMS working for a day during the beta period but not since then. I guess I'll just have to wait till AT&T decides to get there act together.
IF you have vibe when ring then it will vibrate when going to rearrange apps, if this is off it will not.

I have the same thing. I exchanged my phone because the sleep/wake button was almost flush on top, my replacement is noticeably more yellow and definitely darker on the bottom. Its like a traded one flaw for another, which I knew was possible.

My phone now lets me select my carrier.
I didn't have to change anything. Just popped up with the 3.1 update....
(I have modified my carrier settings by visiting help.benm.at, but otherwise haven't jailbroken or unlocked. This showed up on the iPhone 32 GB 3Gs.)
