I was also unsuccessful at my attempt to send an MMS. I think this beta was meant for us developers to test the MMS error messages. LOL. Any word on the battery level metering yet? Has this been improved? This has been one of my biggest gripes with the iPhone 3GS.
When installed 3.1 I got the error "The iPhone could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (3004). I am on a developer account. Even try to restore the 3.0 and I got same error. Help anyone?

did read the thread one person said it was working and another said it was not! so i want to know from more than one person if it works! I dont understand why a lot of people on macrumors are so mean in the threads the threads are to help people and resolve problems not to bash them for something they didnt know but you did.
My understanding is that you can only tether with if you update your AT&T carrier profile to a hacked one... they're all over the internet.
yea i have the carrier update file im on att 5.0, i just want to know if it has been altered in anyway like if it was taken away or requires something now
I don't understand why people think that MMS in the US would need a firmware update?
MMS works fine in 3.0 in the UK, because our network supports it on the iPhone. Surely the only reason it doesn't work in the US is because of AT&T?

I had the same problem. I was still running iTunes 8.2 beta. After upgrading I was able to restore to 3.0.

Yep! Both of those posts ring true for me haha. Great now I have to register my 3GS UDID...

With Apple trying to enter the business market, they would have done this. I have been unsuccessful at recording through my bluetooth mic, yet I can get playback through the headset. Thank you.

It uploads to a 'Gallery'. It's not specific to photos or video, just a gallery. Why would they make them separate? I like that videos and photos can be mixed together.
If you read the thread you would know the answer. We are not mean, just tired of lazy people asking the same question over a dozen times in the same thread.
FYI- For those too lazy to read:
POST #107- MMS and Tethering Still work.
POST #152- Strange I had to hard reboot twice and yes tethering is back. Sorry for the scare.

Also note: Tethering is currently a hack, it is not supported by Apple or AT&T. If you search you will find no less than 20 threads on the topic.
3.1 lets you save as when trimming videos
Nice features I know lots of people were asking for.
I'm glad they added this, but what does Save do and what does Save a Copy do? Let's say I press Save, what does it Save? And is my original untouched? And let's say I press Save A Copy, will it save a copy of my Trimmed video or the original?
Confusing to me....
