Here is my email:
Tim and Phil,
I am beyond frustrated with my iPhone 7 and it's obvious incompatibilities with my Bluetooth devices that's have worked flawlessly since my first iPhone, the 3G.
Neither my car, a 2013 Hyundai Elantea, or my Bluetooth earbuds remember my phone. Despite pairing and repairing multiple times. I have to manually "forget" the car and earbuds and repair them. Each. And every. Time. Ridiculous.
And in my car, I've been able to use the steering wheel audio controls to change tracks via the USB to 30 pin connector (with a lightning adapter). Now with my 7, those controls are useless with the music app. But guess what? They work with Spotify and Google Play Music. Oh, I'm an apple music subscriber too. Or was.
So you've taken something that made me a safer driver -- Bluetooth for calls and steering wheel audio controls -- and taken them away. Why? Why did it "just work" for every other generation of iPhone?
And don't tell me "courage."
I've reset the phone. Reset all settings. Still won't work as it should.
Very disappointed. I love the phone. I really do. But as someone who spends close to 2 hours a day commuting, I require seamless integration. And right now, that's simply not happening.
So unless you plan on providing a car play-enabled car for every iPhone 7 user, I will be looking for alternatives.
