Received my elago "origin" case today.

Bought the dark grey

https://www.amazon.com/elago-iPhone-case-Origin-Dark/dp/B01JORFPB8

Very impressed with the quality, does not feel as cheap and flimsy as other brands. Grip isn't bad, not great but I was hoping for a more grippy feel.

I had purchased the caudabe veil xt for my 6S and while it was decent it felt really cheap and it did crack rather easily. Also had purchased a cheap $3 case off eBay around the same time as the caudabe and to me they were the exact same thing.

I almost purchased the peel for $25 even though I know it wouldn't be worth it, thank god I entered this thread and saw the elago on amazon and some people calling the peel cheap and breaking while inserting the phone.

If you're torn between these minimalistic cases then I would say choose the origin from elago, I like it a lot but let's see if it's holds up to my constant dropping lol
I was just looking at this. I wanted to get the Orzly FlexiSlim but saw this case is a little thicker (.88mm) oppose to the FlexiSlims .35mm. Think I'll just get the Origin

Don't think those .03mm afffects it other than making it possibly less flimsy. I was under the impression it was 0.35mm like all others but clearly I didn't read.

Loving the feel of the case so far tho

Just bought it. Didn't think the .03 made a difference but seeing the number made me think it would be less flimsy then the FlexiSlim. Just got the blue one. Looks good with the Silver 7+

Given that these cases probably have tiny bits of play and don't have microfiber padding on the inside, I wouldn't suggest it for your jet black iPhone. It will most likely have tiny shifts in the case that will cause micro-scratches.
I appreciate that recommendation. That's what I was concerned about.

I have received my 2 Pitaka cases...the black and the red and black. As far as looks go, absolutely top notch. Very classy for a business or casual situation. Would love to see even more colors....solid bright red, green, blue, etc. As far as a minimalist case, it does not get much thinner than these. Thin but sturdy. If you are looking for a ton of protection and are prone to drops, this is probably not for you. Would love to see a version that covered the top and bottom as well.

As others have stated, the rubber ring is not a good long term solution, but more of an after thought. I would certainly like to see it adhered to the case, but also respect the fact that they left it off to give people the option of using it or not. I consider myself a case junkie, and Pitaka is one of my main "go to" cases. James has also been responsive to questions and comments, and does a good job on the customer service side of things. All in all, I would say everyone needs a Pitaka in the collection.

I had originally bought a Tozo case for my iPhone while I was waiting for these $4 cases from ebay to arrive and really liked the Tozo cases. I ended up switching over to the "Cafel" cases I got off ebay, as they were a slightly thicker and more grippy material. They don't offer much drop protection, and are mainly for scratch protection and some added grip, but that was all I was looking for in a case (I was debating between a slim case or a clear skin).

Tozo on the left, "Cafel" (eBay) on the right.

I just got the eBay case today and it is PERFECT. The case is so small that my glass screen protector is highly noticible though.

Have you had any of the other thin cases? If so how does it compare?
I received my eBay cases sometime last week. it's similar to what the Elago Origin is. feels a tad thicker and possible a hair less slippery, but still slippery nonetheless. what it has over all other cases similar to it is its cheaper price. I see no reason for getting the other name-brands over this eBay version.

I've settled on my Ringke SLIM cases however.

Has anyone tried the Slim Skin case by Caseco? The promotional video looks good so far but I'm concerned about the grip. How would it compare to the Caudabe?

And don't know for this case , but.

I have six of them 0.3 slim.

Elago
Tozo
Caudabe
Peel
Puro
Spigen

From all of this for me better case is caudabe ! Has better grip!

All of this case is the same except spigen and puro on the camera point but caudabe Veil xt is deferent from the others because of the material.

This is personal opinion.

Thank you very much for your input! I'm still undecided though I kind of like the "whitey" look that the Clear case by Caseco seems to give on the iPhone 7 Silver. I'd be willing to purchase one and review it for you but I'm in Europe hence I'd hardly be able to return it.

Before you buy can you ask them if you can to return if don't like it. They don't have return policy on this site?

Do you have one of the frosted ones? Wondering if the frosted version has more grip, similar to the frosted version of the PowerSupport. Thanks!

Is the Ringke Slim tight enough to not allow dirt in and scratch the finish? Does the phone shift in the case to cause marks?
it's snug in the case, so, it definitely stays put. idk about dirt going in. I pocket my 7 and haven't noticed much lint getting behind it the couple of times I've removed the case. but, I just haven't had it long enough to actually see how much any sort of debris could be accumulated over a longer period of time. so far, not an issue. but also, I don't have jet black, so even then, mine probably wouldn't even show marks as easily.

I am concerned about removing the Caudabe case without scratching the Jet Black finish.

This case looks fantastic on your phone though. Have you seen any evidence of the case scratching the JB polish?

No my friend I'm not ! The case is awesome! I like it so much!! And I'm cleaning my phone every 10 days from potential dust. ;)
