I couldn’t actually see the files on iTunes? I’m on Windows. I’ll have to try GarageBand. Thanks!

They should be here:

Open “C:\Users\username\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Media > Tones”

Select and drag the ringtones into the On My Device section of the iTunes sidebar. Works great for me. It may take a couple of tries.

Question??
Which color did you get? And how is battery life compared to iPhone 7 Plus.

Space Gray. Battery life seems about the same for me so far.

I ordered a phone through verizon and got talked into their care vs Apple care. I think I may cancel Verizon’s and just get my standard Apple care. 129 vs 11 a month for 24 months. Anyone had the verizon care??

No experience with Verizon care but recently did a thing with my GFs S8+ Through AT&T insurance. Things to check for are comparing deductibles and whether it covers stolen/lost phones. AppleCare doesn’t if its lost or stolen. I will say my experience with the AT&T insurance was pretty positive. Deductible was reasonable and put into my next bill and I had a NIB phone the next day.

sorry I didn't got through all 11 pages. just wondering. I got the iPhone 8 in gold, but it looks more rose gold. is this just me? kinda stuck since I got it through t mobile and they have a restocking fee...

Thank you. I haven’t lost one yet but it can happen.

After my dismal experience in May with AppleCare I went with ATT mobile insurance on my new phone. Covers loss and theft as well as damage and they will overnight a replacement phone. ]

Thanks. I think it is the same with Verizon. May be worth the $11.

- True tone display is absolutely incredible.
- I didn't think it was possible, but fingerprint unlock is even faster than before. It's instant now, don't need to think about it. Amazing.
- Love the new back design, clean with only Apple logo and "iPhone" text. For iPhone 9, remove the "iPhone" text, please! Just the logo!

Is anyone else having battery issues with their 8+?
I was on iOS 11 beta on my 7+ and had no battery issues but with the 8+ I've had it off the charger for about 8 hours and I'm down to about 24% and that's without really using it, except to check a few emails. Also when I look in settings the "time since last full charge" figures have disappeared as well.
It also get very warm when I'm using apps, and even flicking through settings for 10 mins to see if anything is amiss I've gone from 24% to 16% battery.

Sounds like it’s working through background tasks and indexing photos etc.

The silver 8+ is the slipperiest iPhone so far. It’s slipped off of a table from being pulled by the weight of the lightning cable. It's slid off of my bedside table like it was possessed because the table is slightly off level. Slipperiest iPhone yet.

I suppose caseless is out.

How do you like the 8+ compared to the Red 7+? I’ve currently got a SG 8+ with a Red 7+ on the way next week that I found a good deal on. Debating on keeping the 8 or the 7.

To me,both are almost the same. It’s just that silver resembles white so much that I have to get it hehh

Keep both then, since red is officially removed from Apple Store. :)

IP6 owner here, I was eagerly awaiting to part money for an upgrade. The X looks underwhelming as I was after a screen of the size of the Plus, and the 'current' Plus has 3 major flaws, no matter how we sugar coat it:

1) Too heavy
2) Enormous top and bottom bezel
3) Too expensive for what it is

Given that I keep my phones for 3-4 years I will skip and see what happens next year, hopefully the 'X Plus'.

Money is absolutely not an issue, I just decided to say 'no'.

Time to go to the gym if the few added grams are too much for you. Lmao!

Great impressions everyone, I currently have the 7+ and I’m seriously thinking of going for the 8+! I’m just not a fan at all of that notch on the X and no Touch ID, I love Touch ID and I don’t think I’ll be able to live without it lol

I gave in and got myself an 8+. Main reason for me was screen size - other benefits such as true tone and the incremental updates were also nice.

X has been cleverly marketed with its screen size when in reality it’s just a taller 4.7 screen. I’m going to wait for the X+ next year when the new design is more refined.

Same as everyone

1. Noticed that when you change the sim card, TouchID will be disabled. Nice security touch.
2. Heftier but nothing too much to handle
3. Decent battery life for a lower mAh battey pack inside.
4. Louder and better sounding speaker. Can hear details of the music even at 50% volume.
5. Back is of a different kind of slippery. Will try to get used to the premium feel again.
6. True tone display is a very welcome addiitob. The screen doesn’t stress my eyes anymore.
7. Portrait lighting really lives up to it’s BETA designation. Subject looks like a bad cardboard cutout.
8. I’m not entirely sure but the side buttons seem to be slightly more raised this time around.
9. This thing is fast!

Went to the local Appel store today...I have to confess that the 8+ is really pretty. Perhaps it's because I still have a 6 (non Plus) and the 8+ seems fab. The camera, screen and speed are great.

I would buy it BUT there is an issue. Very likely to see an X Plus next year and I don't want to drop £950 on a 4 year old design with an entirely new design around the corner (which by then it will be v2 therefore all bugs ironed out etc).

6S+ Space Grey 64gb to 8+ Space Grey 64gb (6S+ was my first iPhone, switched from a Galaxy S5).

Glass back feels great. Camera is vastly improved (Love the flash not washing out people now). Phone feels much snappier. Portrait mode takes some great pictures. I haven't really noticed the weight difference. Speakers sound much better.

Very happy with the upgrade here.

Edit: Color!
