iPhone 8 or Note 8?

Note has 4k 60 fps camera. It was announced before it was released to get an update with it. And more features?!?! No sir. Note 8 has more features. iPhone doesnt have live focus. iPhone doesn't have as wide of an angle as the Note and so on. The Note excels in all areas other than the cpu over this gen iPhone X.

The note 8 is a bit taller than the 7+, not sure exactly but I just compared them side by side the other day.

N8 looks taller to me in that picture, in real life and reading the specs. No it's not a huge difference, but it's not slight either.

Note 8 might have the capability for 4k/60fps, Samsung is marketing in some markets for 4k/60fps so it may just be a software update away. I never understood comparing the processors, different OS' and all. I guess we could pull up one of those idiotic videos showing the iPhone opens apps 1 millisecond sooner than the Note series, hey if we add all those up in my entire lifetime I can actually save 30 seconds of time!

I agree about the speakers though, at least on paper as I haven't heard the 8+ yet. I don't know about the camera, seems like it's pretty even from what I've read. I'm not sure what the big deal about portrait mode is, but if you use it then I guess it's a plus.

Note has 4K at 30fps only. - See http://www.samsung.com/global/galaxy/galaxy-note8/specs/
The Note sure excels in some areas but not in all. Not a phone I would buy, however, recognise it is a great phone for some.

The note 8 is one of the smoothest phones I have used, bar none. I am really surprised, and I thought the s8+ was fine; but he note 8 feels like it takes it one step further.

He won't he know what he's doing. He's used plenty of Samsung phones.

My note 8 doesn't lag. It's about as smooth as my 7 plus. The iPhone does less with less RAM.

The 7 plus or even the X can't give me an integrated stylus, 6.3 inch super high resolution display, multi window, DeX compatibility, fast wireless charging, compatibility with two major VR headsets.

The iPhone has it's own merits but the note has some clear wins.

It can do more? It needs less ram because it doesn't multitask unlike the note 8 does which needs the ram.

Multitasking means apps running in the background still working. Unlike the iPhone. Not just multiwindow. And because the Note 8 does so much more, it really needs that memory.

Too funny all apple sheep's think they have a bezel free screen thanks to the ugly notch. But the truth is the body to screen ratio on iPhone x is worse than on note 8 and s8/s8+.

Personally, I don't mind the notch and I look forward to trying get hold of the iPhone X. But you're not doing yourself any favours with your childish & repeated Samdung comments.

There's plenty of people who love their Apple products, in particular the iPhone that simply don't like the look of the notch. And that's fine, it's personal preference. To call them clueless because they don't think it "looks cool" as you put it, simply because they don't share your opinion is way off. I'm sure they don't need you feeling sorry for them. Maybe people should feel sorry for you instead, getting so wound up like you are.

That's called trim. A bezel is what is on the top and bottom of your precious S8. And the edge screen is ridiculous. Uncomfortable to hold, awkward in a case. I told my relative who wanted a new phone to get the S7 because it was the last year you could get a flat phone. It's stupid. Edge is just unneccesary.

That proves you have not held the Note 8. It is not like the S7 Edge or S8's. It is comfortable to hold and hardly has a curve to it like those. It can't because you have to write on that screen. You continue to post incorrect info about the phones just to push the reasons why you think the iPhone is better when it's not.

Why do people get so wound up over bloody mobile phones!!! Personally I don't like the iPhone X, I think it's way way over priced, that notch is ugly and that same old app layout has been around for 10 yrs and hasn't changed. I wanted to come back to Apple this year until I saw the keynote. Instead I opted for a N8 and I'm happy. Others don't like the note but that's their opinion.

Would I bash anyone for getting the X, no. It's your money at the end of the day and your choice. There's so much more important things happening in the world than adults behaving like kids and arguing over a mobile phone! Just my thoughts

I held one yesterday, personally it was too tall and felt like a top heavy brick IMO.
